Evander is far from my favorite fighter and I like Tyson although I'm no nut job who thinks he was unbeatable at any point in time.

Evander is ahead of Mike Tyson when it comes to greatness...he was great at cruiser, he was great at heavyweight he beat all-time greats in both classes, he fought more all-time greats as well.

sorry boyz, but ive never thought of evander as a great hw! i will always admit he was best cruiser ever by far but all i was saying was he was not a dominant force at hw...and no matter what anyone says, tyson acomplished more in his short prime than holyfeild did...people say tyson preformed poorly against tucker and smith?why? cause he couldnt ko them, everyone expected him to ko everyone! but no one ever says sh!t about holyfeild getting his a$$ handed to him by foreman and holmes with a combined age of 85...primed tyson would have koed both there asses

Ok Lets me and you get this straight......

Mike Tyson at his best was the best and most dominant and devastating heavywieght of all time and maybe the most dominant and feared boxer of all time (click of me sucking up)

But....over all.......holyfield did more against more.. dont forget the 3 fights against bowe and ruiz and twice againts tyson (i know i know your going to say NOT AT HIS BEST) and 2 against lewis . For a blown up Light heavy , not even a cruiserwieght! (he started his pro career at 176,177 !!) to fight against these guys is an amazing testament to his mental strength conditioning work ethic toughness etc etc. I hope he finds a softy to get a 5th title. he deserves it. maybe not for his last 2 performances but for the
    50 before them!!

ill give u bowe but not ruiz and yes holy had a tone of hart but he struggled at hw..i know he was a natural cruiser and ive sais it many times he was the best at that weight and at heavy was inspiring since he was a cruiser weight..but its true in his prime he struggled against mediocre competion(bowe was not mediocre but a coward none the less , by fighting a cruiser weight instead of lewis) he struggled against foreman, holmes, stewart, cooper all in his prime........but i see what ur saying and im not suking up tysons a$$ but when he fought holy he only had done 8 rounds in the ring in 5 years ,he was not ready for such a damanding match that holyfeild gave him

....if holyfeild struggled at HW i wonder how marciano would have fared against bowe or lewis

Foreman at 45 would have knocked Tyson out inside 8 rounds. The old Foreman was better then the early Foreman, Holyfield benefited from a great crop of Heavyweights in the 90's which made for excellent competitive fights. Tyson was prime in an era reminiscent of today’s' Heavyweights well maybe not that bad, Today’s Heavyweights are a shade of forest GREEN ... but all in all Tyson was King of the shits. so Holyfield accomplished more by beating better caliber fighters. in very competitive fights in a very competitive era of Heavyweight boxing .

Tyson was good for the sport. He brought a lot of interest back into Heavyweight boxing, in a time just like today where Heavyweight boxing was on the decline . almost mirror images of the Heavyweight division then 1986-1989 and 2000-2006 the last great Heavyweight match was David Tua -vs- Ike Ibabuchie a fight in which I thought Tua won ! Those fowcking judges Great fight Tho ! there have been some spotty decent matches in that 2000-2006 stretch but nothing really note worthy.. a damn shame !

Agree that Tyson was good for the sport. I have learned to appreciate him through the years despite the bad decision making and Oh-so-embarrasing press confrences.

Can't agree that Tua-Ibeabuchi was that last great Heavy fight but I can agree that I kind of felt that Tua slightly edged Ibeabuchi.

holyfield wasnt in his prime either i think u forget and even when holyfield wasnt at his peak he still give lewis two tough fights and lewis is arguably the best hw in the last 15 years foreman was still good then he had alot of power and ect larry holmes just outslicked ray mercer and was still decent holyfield also had one of greatest hw trilogys in history and giving bowe and run for his money in all 3 fights and he didnt get man handled by lewis in 2nd fight that was actually close fight plus 2nd fight with bowe holyfield got far from man handled plus in 1st bowe fight holyfield was actually holding his own against much bigger man he just started to feel bowes strength round about 8 or 9 then bowe took over and in 3rd bowe fight holyfield was doing well plus he knocked bowe down its just he was suffering with something then and he got tired too quick thats why he couldnt finish off bowe in the 6th round

now can we say the same about tyson ??
