when was the last time Cotto was cut? .... ahh in the Torres fight in the mouth
Let me say this...Cotto gettin cut will not be a factor...it's not like he's Hatton or something...& Hatton aint been cut in a good long while.

The thing is...I love Cotto...immensely. He's damned entertaining...but in a more raw & visceral way.

I just don't think that Cotto's the guy to beat Mayweather. I think he could hang for the duration...but Floyd would easily pick him off.

Arum keeps Margarito from fighting Mayweather and he could do the same for Cotto can't he?

I think Cotto is being overhyped for that performance against Quintana. For the little time Quintana was in there his boxing ability was giving Cotto a little bit of issues.

One thing, how does Cotto beat Mayweather?

It's not with relentlessness. Everyone else has tried that and Floyd countered the heck out of them. People bring up the Castillo fight(there was a rematch Floyd one easily) and the Chavez fight(Mayweather has improved a lot since then)

Mayweather is 10 or 20 times the fighter he was since back then.

Relentlessness isnt how to beat Floyd Mayweather. And I don't think Cotto could outbox him. And I don't think he'll overpower him either.

Cotto would be beaten handily by Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd is 10 or 20 times the fighter he was against JLC How exactly? What does he do now that is 10 or 20 times better?

And to say QUintana was giving Cotto issues is quite ridiculous don't you think considering the outcome? Quintana did land on Cotto but Cotto was cutting that massive ring down well, going to the body etc etc.

Cotto would give Floyd a tough fight simply because Cotto is a better fighter than anyone Floyd has fought in a long time,he has good handspeed and once he has Floyd on the ropes,he would hammer away. Cotto has more power than anyone Floyd has fought too and Cotto's attack to the body would be like no other Floyd has had to deal with. I don't think Miguel would merely headhunt,he's too smart for that.

and at 147,it's not like Floyd's going to hurt Cotto.

I still think Floyd would win at this point in time but to think he would do it so easily,I don't think so and as Cotto fights more and more tough fights,he is getting better and better. He looks and sounds confident at 147 too.

Initially, I thought that Cotto did not have any chances against Floyd based on his last fights at 140. But, his performance at 147 shows that he was making a real sacrifice to make 140. Cotto should KO Floyd at 147...
