How is it the same?

Did Dan Goossen offer Margarito a career high payday
for this fight

- or even make an offer at all?

You guys don't know this. So don't jump to conclusions.
I haven't heard anything of this kind of news.
Floyd turned down 8 million plus. I know Goosen would have made it VERY public that he offered Margarito millions if he believed Paul William's enough. It seems Goosen would rather earn a belt for Williams the quiet and easy way. While Margario's happy to finally get his WELL DESERVED career payday.

What are you talking about? Williams is Margarito's MANDATORY. The man is ready to GIVE UP HIS TITLE just to avoid this fight. Williams doesn't need to make him some huge offer to make the fight happen--it goes to a purse bid if the parties don't set it up themselves. In any case, even a 50/50 (let alone 60/40) split would probably bring Margarito more money than he's ever made before--definitely more than he got for his underwhelming performance against Clottey.

You can offer that kind of money to a superstar like Mayweather, cause its going to sell and bring money back. You cant offer those kind of pay days for a Margarito/Williams fight most casual fans barely even know these guys and it wouldn't even be PPV.
