I didn't list Erik as I think he will announce his retirement soon.

BoxingGod you listed ODLH, I didn't cause I don't consider him Mexican. Hes American of Mexican decent.

You know Violent Demise, if you take away the dog par about your post. You got a good point. Why is Manny the ONLY Phillipino boxer out there. (Don't list Boom-Boom as he has yet to put his name out there on the map)

Good list. EM doesn't belong in the top 30 fighters list. Top all time, sure but not now.

The interesting thing about this list is that in a few years it'll look very different. Probably with one of the current junior featherweights on top.

I can fully understand why PACQUIAO is very well known among Mexican boxing fans and Mexican boxing writers alike ...

I think it's even more amazing that out of all the fighters from the Philippines, Pacquiao is the only one that doesn't suck. I wonder why? What do other Filipino fighters not train as hard? Are they not as dedicated? Are they not eating enough dog? What?
haha low blow, v.d sounds like a little girl , wutta punk is eating dogs too gross for u, haha wutta b1tch. u should try some dogs some dears some goats some snakes and some fishes. u prolly stick to weak meat huh some chickens u prolly can't even eat ducks, yous a b1tch. and u got it bad for the filipinos it sure is obvious prolly kuz of pac haha.
Pac the man. I give him that. But your bitch a** still didn't answer the question. Why do the other Filipinos suck? Come on Jumount, pretend your a man and answer the question.
v.d saying the word "sucks" is an overstatement its obvious u don't know much about filipino fighters and boxing history. you go talk to boxing trainiers and they will tell you, once in a while when a filipino gets a shot and enough support they come along and wipe out the competition. even mexican trainiers would tell you stories filipino are a similar breed to mexicans but they are far in asia that's why only a few gets known. the thing about filipinos is that they are easily americanize they adopt to be more athletic, but v.d if you have been in both mexico and phillipines u will see boxing is a culture in both. and both side deserved respect its jst sad that phillipines doesn't get as much opportunity. if phillipines was as close as mexico to america you will see more talent.

I believe one-man wrecking crew is sufficient. Why do all you non latin posters have to bring up the Mexican part? I hardly think you would be making the reference if a particular boxer was beating all caucasin or negro opponents. Unless you are filipino and after decades of getting your asses whupped you are enjoying a short fiesta.

Get Packmans penis out of your mouth its affecting your mind into saying incorrect things. Pac Man has never fought opponents 10 & 15. I think 10 & 15 is more a reference of the tube snake you need to get out of your ass. I like Pac Man, it is fan club members that say shit off the top of their head all based on emotion and no wit. They seem to be the least knowledeable boxing fans out there. But without their ignorance we would not have anything to reply to. Guess after the Subic Bay brothels closed these guys have time on their hands to talk smack but none to do their research . Pac Man followers the stupidest posters " Laban o bawi ?" ....................................LABAN ..........................

Welcome to the forum Addicted_to Boxing,

I gotta ask that you tone it down as SaddoBoxer was not disrespecting you or anyone. I'am of Mexican decent and to be honest I don't think theres anything wrong with what he posted. But I agree a lot of Pac fans push things waaayyy tooo far and get really careless when posting.... Thats why most of them are gone.

So if you Addicted to Boxing wan't to be around then I suggest you clean up your posts...

    Thanks,

To Mr. Addicted_to Boxing, I was referring to the original list posted by Mr. El Gamo where no. 10 is occupied by Morales and no. 15 is occupied by Larios. MOD CutMeMick list is a different list.

Just staring at that original "Current Top 20 Mex Fighters" list, you'll be amazed that one boxer named PACMAN did faced 4 boxers on that list and came out with a record of 4 wins, 1 "draw" and 1 loss. In addition he knocked down all 4 top Mex boxers:

MAB - KD 3 times (1 KD not ruled officially by bias ref)
JMM - KD 3 times in 1 round
    Morales - KD 5 times in 25 rounds ... that's an amazing 1 KD every 5 rounds
    Larios - KD 2 times

    Isn't it amazing ?

Thx and you are right about the language. Just plain tired of the Mexican reference as a negative on boxing boards. All other Latinos from other countries are spoken of in another context.

    .
    yes it is !!!

    The fact that he

MAB - KD 3 times (wipede the floor with a boxer whose mind was elsewhere)
JMM - KD 3 times in 1 round and then dissappeared
Morales - KD 5 times in 25 rounds ... Fought 3 times and in the last fight Morales entered the ring with no chance to beat any top boxer let alone Pac Man.
Larios - KD 2 times - what a joke came into the ring as stickman on a pogo stick. Plus he hit himself too much as if Pac Man would not suit him.

Needs to fight MAB and JMM again, but once again the Mexican boxers will tenderize themselves so that Pac Man can smoke them. ( JMM vs MAB) as Morales and Barrera . So Manny no matter how he looks will not get the respect he may deserve because you will have 2 countrymen beating the boxing life out of what remains within them. So Pac Man will det sloppy seconds credit by many boxing enthusiast and godlike whorshipping by his fans.

Whatever you say about these 4 Mexican boxers that PAC fought, whether they're old and washed up, they are still considered among the top 20 Mexican boxers as of today. In fact PAC fought and scored multiple knockdowns on the no. 1 (JMM) and no. 2 (MAB) of the present top Mexican boxers.

Sorry that I repeatedly referring to these Mexican boxers since I'm only sticking to the subject "Current Top 20 Mexican Fighters" ...

That's got to be one of the stupidest things I ever read. Close to America? Damn your an idiot. Talent is talent. It don't matter where the fuck your from, if your good it will be noticed. Last time I checked Thailand wasn't exactly around the corner from America, yet they got a good amount of fighters who are noticed. All these stories you hear from boxing trainers about Filipino fighters don't mean shit. Cuz all they are, are just that. "Stories". Filipino fighters don't get opportunities because they haven't earned them. You need to face reality. Except for Pac, there really not much. You got some mediocre ones in Jaca, Tunacao. Gerry Penlasoa use to be good. Rey Bautista is still unproven. And youngsters Bernabe Concepcion and Eden Sonsona have already been exposed. That's about it. Diosdado Gabi, Michael Domingo and Dennis Laurente are straight garbage. It's pretty sad that the second most popular flip fighter today is the 12 loss having Bobby Pac. I know having a famous last name can help you get by. But come on, this is just ridiculous. There's people out there that actually think Booby is good. There stupidity is mind-boggling. Perfect example of nepotism at it's finest.

I gotta disagree with the list a bit.

*Please note: ODLH is of Mexican decent. He was born in the USA therefor hes American. Same applies for Rocky Juarez.

My list would go as follows:

    1. MAB
    2. JMM
    3. JLC
    4. RMarquez
    5. Arce
    6. Vasquez
    7. Margarito
    8. Gonzalez
    9. Montiel
    10. Castillo
    11. Soto
    12. Jesus Chavez
    13. Juan Diaz
    14. De Leon
    15. Salido
    16. Larios
    17. Julio Diaz
    18. Mijares
    19. Rodolfo Lopez
    20. Omar Nino

lets bring Margarito down a bit, and put Jesus Chavez in his spot ! .. the rest is iron clad !

v.d your ignorant. first of you don't know a damn thing about the hardship of the philippines. guys fist fight over a grain of rice down there. they got the heart if they had the trainiers that is around mexico and america, talent would be brought out. instead of training guys there huslte to feed there family. unlike elsewhere they can't focus they can't dedicate as much because poverty is overwhleming there. plus they have to deal with currupted officials all the time. I made the point about if they were as close to america as mexico is. that would help their situation because they can actually be given a chance. in the philippines guys just go toe to toe whoever can take and give more wins, they lack the trainiers that can mold their boxing skills. you ask why most of them suck right, and I'm telling you why. but shut your damn mouth because your pony as thug aint shit, calling a ghetto in american is a suburb compare to the phillipines. punk kats down there would jack your whole man hood, fuck you know about real ghetto and hardship.

aye brian viloria is the second well known filipino third is rey boom boom, go do your research again kuz you got shit twisted. don't come off to me the wrong way again punk.

The writer makes it clear from the very beginning that the list will be composed of Mexican & Mexican American fighters. I think were all aware that De La Hoya is of Mexican descent but lets not forget De La Hoya has dual citizenship, therefore is both Mexican & American. Like myself his parents are from Mexico, I'm fluent in both languages and was born in America but still consider myself both. Never will I choose which is something I think everyone in this situation has in common. I think the write Juan Zurita explains it best in his writing listed below as the intro to his top 20.

"It's been awhile since I’ve pumped out one of these lists, but it’s now here to stay per popular demand. In these most recent rankings you will notice a new adjustment to my criteria. I now introduce my inclusion of Mexican-American fighters. I’ve decided to include this group in these rankings from now on for several reasons. First off, there isn't a deep enough pool of quality Mexican-American fighters around to merit compiling a top ten list much less a top twenty. Second, many Mexican-American fighters were born in the Southwest United States, a place once called Mexico, a place many of us still call Mexico. Well, if you live here, you know what I mean. Lastly, many Mexican-American fighters refer to themselves as “Mexican” because that’s the ethnic blood that runs through their veins, the culture they live and breathe, and a heritage they are proud of. And no physical border can ever that away from them."

What can I say you typed up a master piece !!! Well done, only if you are Mexican American can you understand. I have this same argument with my sister when she asks me what I tell people I am. I tell people I am of Mexican descent because the USA does not see me as anything else. If I commit a crime the press will tag the term Mexican alonside my profile even though I was born in the states. So why run from what people see im my physical makeup. This is why I get irked with the free and negative tags placed on Mexican boxers. Seems Mexican boxers are viewed as ignorant, low life and uneducated where as filipino fighters are viewed just as poverty stricken. I assume this may be because english is spoken in filipino schools? Is this a reference that english is high class and spanish is low class ?

I can fully understand why PACQUIAO is very well known among Mexican boxing fans and Mexican boxing writers alike ...

MANNY PACQUIAO, the one-man wrecking crew of top Mexican fighters...

Ever hear the expresion that its not the whole of the sum but the sum of the hole? Pac Man gets KO's someday and we have no more Pinoy posters. Any Mexican boxer gets knocked out and Mexico launches tomorrows hopes.
