Vitali was an incredible technician. His jab was unbelivable, he was on the way to beating a prime lennox lewis and would have knocked Holmes' head off if it was prime v prime. Vitali was so underappreciated, it seems weird nw that Wlad is taking all the plaudits becuase even though he is head and shoulders above the current heavies, Vitali was so much better than Wlad.

Prime Lewis fought Donovan Ruddock .. Lewis was 6"5 227lbs.. that Lewis smokes both Klitchko brothers something fierce..Originally Posted by yoitsdan

I guess my idea of prime Lewis is different to the real prime Lewis, being 19 years of age!Originally Posted by Lords Gym
While not being at the prime of his physical assets, his experience was unmatched in the Vitali, Tyson, Holyfield and Rahman II days.

all that weight he added after Ruddock was a huge mistake.. Lewis was at his best or in his prime early as a result .. much faster hands at 19 20 years old. when he got up to the slow methodical 240's all of a sudden he lost his best asset.. handspeed ! .. He still had a degree of speed in his jab though, and I have seen some of the really really early Lennox, he was an all out banger, did he not carry some of this early ferocity into his later performances, because the way he dealt with Holyfield and Tyson was nothing short of masterful.
