if u bench press consistently does it help your punching power?

pretty much no you need skills for reel punching power
of course it helps even though this is a question for the trainer part of this site. Anyways your chest muscles are involved in punching, especially for a hook, and having stronger muscles regardless of technique will make you hit harder. Boxers don't weightlift for nothing nor do they do pushups for nothing. Technique comes in overtop of your strength, but without one or the oter you won't be devastating puncher.
You will of course need a good lower body and good core (back and abs) to really impact punching power.
As for the upper body: Flies to help the chest, reverse curls and tricep pushdowns to help the triceps; also work out the rotator cuff as throwing a punch is like throwing a football or baseball
Primary initial mover for bench is front deltoid, then upper pec, lats and triceps.
All are needed in punching.
Size helps but building big bench musles won't really help in boxing.
HUge bench muscles are for 10 rep slow lifts unlike punching 100 or reps and fast.
MIGHT be counter productive but the big Daddy chest help winm the ladies!

Bench press. It not only works your chest massively, but it also works the triceps, the shoulders and your back plays a little part in it too.
Yes it does help punching power. It is scientific fact that the bigger a guy the more powerful punch hes gonna have, due to the weight being behind the punch (this is not considering technique and such though, before you technical bugars jump on my back) So you start to put muscle on your going to get a better punch.
