Carl Froch is the man to beat at 168 imo. He is a real threat and i feel his next 3 fights are going to show this even more! I hope you saw him drop his last 2 guys? They were some pretty good ko's. I think the next move Carl needs to take is to fight a big name at 168 and in 2-3 fights time he will get a shot. He deserves it imo and i can only see Carl going forward in his carrer. IMO if Carl loses a fight soon he will face a lot of problems but i think he is going to succed at 168!

He holds no titles. He's beaten nobody of note. His mouth gets noticed more than his skills. Yet he's the man to beat at 168? Sure thing, kid. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

    Mmmm.

    Who has Miguel Cotto beaten?

How many 'Champions' has he faced?

It's easy to dig around the likes of columbia and argentina and dig up a bunch of 16-0 fighters - then declare how Cotto has stopped them.

    BUT

It's plain to see he is a top 10 fighter, it's all about what we see with our own eyes that leads us to our conclusions...

    ...Not padded records.

And for the record, the British domestic scene is very very tough - and Froch has cleaned up and won the Lonsdale belt outright (a belt of prestige) - not like these phony WBU, WBO & IBF belts (zab judah anyone?)

He will fight for the WBC soon, mark my words.

I don't know what this so-called Lonsdale belt means to UK ppl. But outside of the UK i'm pretty sure noone gives a feck.
I don't know why you expect us do be in ave of Froch "cleaning out" the british domestic scene. FFS his last opponent (Dodson) was rated sub top-100 SMW. British domestic may be tougher than many other domestic scenes. But it's still holds very little significance compared to stepping up to world level.
All this talk of Froch being ready to fight for genuine titles is completely unfounded. He needs to get at least a few top-20 names on his resume before it makes sense.
Untill then there are more deserving ppl who are also less annoying.

Someone the other day (maybe another forum) posted about ppl outside the UK being unable to respect queing in general as well as in regards to boxing. Well if anything Froch and his supporters are trying to jump the line here.

Totaly agree mate once again your 100% spot on.

Already all four belts are being fought for, Andrade for th WBC and WBA, the Robert stigler fella and sme other guy are fighting for vacant IBF title, and Manfredo Jr is getting a shot at the WBO belt... i mean i can totaly see what you mean about Froch and his fans trying to the line here, looking at the four guys above records and the level of the guys they beat, its crystal clear that they deserve a title shot and the froch is trying to jump some line by wanting one.

I don't like Froch, nor do i rate him, but with those four guys getting a shot at becoming a world champion in early 07, froch sure as hell should be alowed to have a shot at one of them belts after and to say otherwise is a joke.

I think that if Carl has 3 big fight this year he can get a title shot in the long run come on he will have one of the best records at 168 and imo he has done more than Peter Manfredo

Well i agree about Manfredo. But Manfredo never got that title-shot because he did anything to deserve it.

Wins over 2-3 "big" names (top20+) and he is as deserving as anyone else getting shots (and some who should get shots, but doesn't).

Personally i doubt he'll win those fights though.

Why do u doubt he will win? did you see his last fights? the way he KTFO magge was awesome and i think he is a top 20 fighter. But with carl improving i think he will get a shot depending how these fights go. a loss would hit him out of the title fight imo but if he wins i think the champions should be scared of froch
