Won't Taeth throw that in our faces....

It's a bit of a ploy imo. The day after the fight...he posted a myspace bulletin....it was a Fightnews article about his broken hand. I understand that is something very tough to fight through and I like Luis but he is milking this one to hard imo.
What would you do if you had been the victim of a Mosley fight and were struggling to make it in a deep division?

But he's a better fighter then that. I mean he could really be a force in the division and could give the elite fighters a run for their money. He doesn't need to be scraping excuses off the floor. He's young and has a lot to build on. Even with a deep division, if he gets the fights he'll be fine.Originally Posted by boozeboxer

That is pretty good thinking. He does seem pretty tough. He gave Hatton a tough fight and Mosley beat him at 147. Regardless of whether Collazo was hurt or not, I think Mosely is the best at 147 at the moment. Losing to him certaintly isn't like losing to a bum.
On a side note, I was really impressed with Joshua Clottey in the fight against Margarito. Is he fighting again sometime?

I think i started a threat about this some time ago. It was relating to Jeff Lacy tearing his rotator cuff. That was being used as the reason for him only just beating Tsypko. I said how come Collazo didn't get the same sympaphy when he hurt his hand against Mosley. All i got in response was, Collazo wasn't hurt......it was just an excuse......it's not like he broke it etc...
But he did break it! And fighting Mosley with 2 good hands would be tricky enough.
The fight was 1 round a piece going into the 3rd (when he broke it). Maybe the hand was the reason he wouldn't let his hands go.![]()

Has anyone here ever broken their hand/s? I guess some of the guys who box on here must have and would be able to say more about how it affects you from a boxing perspective. I don't box myself, however I am a goalkeeper (football/soccer) and last year I was involved in a collision where I broke the 4th metacarpal (bone under the ring finger) in my right hand, which is known as a classic boxer's injury and, I believe, the most common fracure boxers suffer in their hands. I was agony for weeks to touch the back of my hand or put any kind of pressure on the knuckle area eg. pressing against something with a closed fist. The thought of punching something as hard as I could with that injury makes me feel sick. It always amazes me that fighters are so blase about fighting on with broken hands - I'm sure in a lot of cases it is a made up excuse but when its genuine that must take a shitload of bottle.
