    I like Ring mags style

I know what you mean about the lack of magazines these days. I went to Spain before christmas and looked in every magazine shop in Heathrow airport and none of them had a boxing magazine on the shelf. I remember saying to one of the girls behind the till "You have 'Antique Bottle & Glass Collector Magazine' but not a single boxing mag?" she just laughed at me. I ended up reading a Hi-Fi mag or something for the flight.

I hope your wrong about that, Daxx. The internet is wonderful but looking at www.fightnews.com is nothing compared to holding The Ring magazine in your hand. Knowing how long it's been in publication gives me goosebumps each time I get a new issue.

I collect the magazine so that when I am long dead a member of my family who is into boxing might stumble across them and feel like they struck gold. Same reason I collect comic books. I don't collect them for myself I collect them for future generations.
Looking so forward to posterity. Like a 'founding father'.

Its all about the quality of the writers.

Web based articles often seem too biased or just plain unprofessional.

I've read World Boxing before which, I believe is a sister magazine of Ring, and I've read quite a few Ring mags as well. My Dad, got me a subscription to Ring for Christmas and I've been enjoying it quite a bit, the last two issues have been pretty good. I just hate that I read thru them so damn fast. The writers can be somewhat bias IMO, but are very good, they paint quite a picture with their words and what not. Very good writing in Ring Magazine.

I do not read the boxing magazines anymore, but they are all really good to be honest. Except for one called Boxing Illustrated years ago. That was terrible. But I like KO magazine or liked it, and I liked the interview.

I usually tend to read Boxing News simply because it is a weekly rather than a monthly. I like getting the previews of that weekend's fights on a Friday morning, though sometimes it is quite late with the news....it probably goes to press on a Wednesday, or early Thursday.

I still do the traw of the websites too though, just to keep in the loop.

I love the Ring, but I do wish it was printed more frequently

Boxing Monthly supplemented by Boxing News weekly.

I don't like the American boxing mags, as the paper quality is cheap & they're often well out of date by the time us Brits get them.

I used to buy The Ring years ago, but when they switched to low quality paper, I stopped buying.
