    Miranda may have many flaws and be unpolished...hell, perhaps he may get a beat-down sooner rather than later...

    But the guy is 150% entertainment - he went for the kill regardless of having the fight in the bag.

    The kid has no reverse gear at all.

    Let's not forget in all this - Allan Green was the 'next big thing' at 168lb too.

    But he lost every round and got dropped twice and saved by the bell !

    Miranda may win, lose or draw - but he will always have fans

Seriously Pantera hits so hard if he posted a message on this board he'd probably knock us off our seats.
    I wasn't comparing him to Bika I was comparing him to Sheika. Sheika, especially back when Calzaghe fought him was a puncher with a good reputation. They went toe to toe in round 5 and Calzaghe dodged everything. Even in slow motion he looks fast, busting Sheika's face up and forcing the ref to stop the fight.

    @JT Rock.

    I see you are enjoying your bets with VD, I'll happily bet 10 cc's sc's with you that if Miranda fights Pavlick next he gets whooped.

    Please Bilbo call me JT, your my friend and on that note, Game on you filthy little a** scratching ground dweller I'd be happy to, of course I think Miranda is destined for bigger and better things like dismantleing Jermain Taylor by summers end to be Undisputed Middle Weight Champ

    #98 yep you gotta respect the big cat for all his drive, desire and entertainment value, fans can be so fickle, you complain cause fighters dont wanna make the big fights and that there reserved and pre-madonnas, then you have an exciting kid who epitomes all the things that a fighter should be and they pick him apart.... I just never can understand

    Ok game on then, lets hope they make the fight. I'm not hating on Miranda by any means though, he's great for boxing, has tons of heart and is always exciting to watch.

    The way he lunges in to punch though he's just made for some of the top boxers out there.

    It may not happen this year but he'll be knocked out before the end of 2008.

    The bet was a bunch of BS from the Green camp. He will keep his cash.

    Not crazy at all. Taylor would be easier to KO than Green was.

    Don't think that's true at all. Green fought like a scared punk. He didn't do anything better then Taylor can, in fact boxed nowhere near as well as Jermain is capable of doing at middleweight. And we know Taylor wouldn't be intimidated like Green, he's already fought Hopkins twice and Winky wright for god's sake. Allan Green spent most of the fight retreating and throwing very little punches, so I can see how you could say he was hard to KO in that sense.. But I don't think it's a good excuse, Miranda should have been able to cut off the ring more, get him against the ropes etc.. Green was there to be bullied. He also spent alot of the fight complaining to the ref with his hands down or looking at his feet and Miranda rarely bullrushed him like he should have in those instances.. Had he I wouldn't be surprised if he'd gotten the KO earlier. Bottom line, Taylor can do a LOT of things that Green can't, and he's a better athlete as well, at least as a middleweight Taylors just much better than Green is, especially offensively and I think Miranda's too open for him. Would be a hell of a fight while it lasted but I'd see a stoppage or KO for Taylor before the mid rounds tbo.

    Lets see...a completely inactive Green is able to put Miranda on his ass...but Miranda would have no problem with Taylor?! I have nothing against Miranda...the man is obviously very strong and loves to mix it up. But he is still very unpolished. Many people seem to have come down on Taylor due to his recent performances...but bottom line....the man fought Hopkins and Winky and went up against a scrappy Ouma. It's true he seems like he has lost the jab a bit and is trying establish a style...but the man is a great athlete and boxer...and he has been involved in BIG fights against GREAT opposition.
