No way he stops him. Barrera knows his career is winding down but his pride aint gonna let him lose this fight. It means a lot to him to prove he is the world's best and the best fighter from Mexico City. It will be a great fight but I say Barrera pulls it off and goes to avenge his loss against (a recently less focused) Manny Pacquiao. It will take that loss to motivate Pacman to train and focus more and return to win a trilogy over the aging M.A.B.

This is going to be a great fight. It will not be the all out brawl that Morales- barrera fights were but it will have its moments. I think Marquez in one of the premier counter punchers in the game, and he and Barrera have the skills and the heart to make this the fight of the year, In the end I think Barrera wins, as I think he will wear down Marquez. This fight is very close, but I see it as a Majority decision for Marquez.

And I totally diagee on some of your points brother GAME,JMM can go to the trenches as he has shown against the tough tough Pacquiao,in his last 2 fights too.

When has Marquez had to show his true grit in a war ? He boxed Pac , he didnt fight him . Morales was a much better fighter than Marquez . I agree Marquez is a smoother technical boxer but when it comes down to who is the better fighter I have no doubt its Morales . Erik fought on even terms with Barrera not wanting to take a step back . He came off worse cuz his defence was too open but he wasnt scared of getting hit . Marquez has never struck me as that type of character who fights with that level of passion and intensity. Ive never really seen the devil in him and I know he beat a couple of nobodies with assertive boxing recently but its a huge step up to do the same to Barrera.

It comes natural to Barrera to fight , same with Erik. With Marquez it has been forced upon him cuz he wants to be more marketable . I reckon Barrera will do what Pac couldnt and thats beat Marquez but it will be a close good fight .

Could be a tough fight here but im going with Barrera, whether its points or a stoppage I dont know but Ill surely be having a little wager on this. Maybe im following my heart more than my head sometimes but id find it hard not to back him, no matter who hes against. I expecting a good show here and then I hope a rematch with Manny happens. I know he wont be active for too much longer now but Im hoping for a final assault on the P4P list before he retires.
