no - the guy in Training Day Jim was Tom Berenger, think you might be getting him confused with him

not Alien Nation

he was on earth and some floating orb type thing went everywhere with him

never worked cos I hated the actor - as he was bstard in Karate Kid as the leader of the cobras and he was a bastard to John J Rambo in First Blood II
