True can't blame W for all of it JC could turn round and say NO I want to fight X,Y,Z or end of contract - depending on what's in that contract.
Yes he slaps when he does those flurries and I've said it for years, what is means is the other guy has to cover up and JC looks good even if they don't land (see last Sat.for an example of that)

Overated? Depends how you rate him doesn't it? Some years back I thought he would take on the best but now? At 35 you've not had a superfight? You have to ask questions why. If it's W then JC has to take responsibility for that as well, you're employing him to matchmake/promote and handle your career.

if you take a look at calzaghes fight against veit, a few years ago, you could see, that calzaghe could hit, eventhoug veit is a litlle bit of a glass chin, then calzaghe still throws hard punches.. i think age and hand problems are the main reasons for him slapping, my opinion is that with the slapping, he looks even faster then he really is.. i think calzaghe is overrated, but mostly by people in the british isles.. if he was so good, as everybody says, then for christ sakes, he should have landed a big fight years ago.. he fights, his fans say, was a very skillfull lacy, others not so lacy friendly. but nevertheless, he took away the american´s ibf world champion, and that was in my opinion his way into the american market, then he fights bika, and now manfredo, and they claim, manfredo is the ticket to america.. hmm.. then what the hell was the ibf world champion

on the one side, you have calzaghe, and on the other fighters from america, rjj, hopkins(LHW & MV), toney and so on , who at one point in the career has been in the same weight as calzaghe, these fighters have boxed the big ones in their careers, they have been willing to put everything on the line.., that is missing from calzaghe, you could claim that that it takes 2 to tango, but the proof is there, the stars have boxed, with the exception of calzaghe.. is it simply bad luck ond bad negotiation skills, i dont think so, when undefeated and world champion for a decade, going for stardom and above all legacy, and yet no BIG star fight in the states has happened, you wonder, will it ever..

No Smash mate Joe broke his hands after the Eubank fight so the problem has always been there mate

What he is though is prob the biggest wasted talent the UK has produced

I remember seeing him beat Eubank and thinking fuck me we have a massive future star here to take out all the big names... then nothing special in the machups after that

till Lacy come on the scene who was built up as the supermiddle Tyson and deserved the tag regardless of what people say about Lacy now he was a monster before Joe met him.... and to me it was Joe's finest hour of boxing... just dont know what took so long

Yeh, I fear that if he goes in with one of the top boys and his hands go after a few rounds he is fooked!!

I think his career has been largely waisted, whomevers fault that may be. Obviously his hands and his 3 years divorce and all the mental issues that cuased him have contributed heavily

I think he could've been great, I always thought he would be after following him as am amateur, but at 35 and with very dodgy hands I doubt he can complie the 2 or 3 major wins he needs to achieve greatness!!

Something wrong there and could be devastating when he does fight a live opponent with a great chin.
No way he beats Kessler or Froch one handed,maybe even Inkin too.
