Ok for the last time:
MODERN DAY FIGHTERS HOLD NO DISTINCT ADVANTAGE OVER OLDER FIGHTERS!!!
Yeah they have better diets and blah blah blah but when people fought in the old days it was for survival they couldn't go back to their huge mansion with all their electronic bs they spent their money on food for their familes and wondered when their next paycheck was. The mental edge old school fighters had from rough upbringings equals or even surpasses the physical edge modern athletes have.
Vitali doesn't even belong in the top 30 all time. I don't care if he comes back and wins 50 fights in a row against the best in this division, He QUIT against chris byrd with three rounds to go and virtually no way of losing except a forifeit.
The other entrys are respectable but i dont like the order. Marciano was the best because you'd have to fight him for 15 rounds and odds are he'd catch you with a right and the fight would be over. Ali comes second because his great chin and mobility would possibly guide him to a victory over marciano and every other fighter prime for prime. Tyson comes third because on his best night he beats or gives other all time greats a run for their money.
I don't see vitali sticking in a fight with a minor injury when he has marciano or tyson across the ring from him. Ali would have him busted upon in alittle over 3 rounds. The number 4 spot all-time and down the line can be debated over and over but it doesn't matter. After the winner, runner up, and honorable mention, everyone else is just a conversation starter.
exactly size isn't always better if your fat and slow and out of shape hasn't anyone ever heard of saying the bigger they are the harder they fall you actually think guys like Holmes Ali and Foreman would have any trouble with current fighters ??Originally Posted by Punisher136
A primed ali could go 7 rounds without breaking a sweat while fighting at a blistering pace by today's heavyweight standards. Foreman was the perfect prototype big punching fighter. Any bigger and stamina becomes an issue.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
A lot of people might forget ali was 6'3 215ish. He'd still be a good size for todays division and foreman hit way harder p4p than todays heavies.
Vitali has a record that your heroes never could match (W 35 (34 ko's) L 2 Total 37)hell he got that record knocking boxers out who knocked your heroes out.Don't go bringing up dead boxers and other boxers that you have heard of, they may have been champs of their era but that was then this is now.Originally Posted by Punisher136
As for the fight with byrd read.
