Oscar was never that great to begin with. He was just as overrated as Floyd was in his day.
    laughable.

Tell me a GREAT fighter Floyd could have fought as he was coming up from lightweight?
Tszyu, Mosely, Wright. Theres alot of fighters he could have faced.

He could've been fighting decent guys like Margarito rather than the Bruseles', and Mitchells of the world. Floyds record is comedy. When he said he's got nothing left to prove I couldnt stop laughing. His comp has been a joke. When Castillo, and Corrales are the best prime fighters you faced then I'd say you haven't been fighting the best out there.

it didnt mean much coz he didnt do enough to make it meaningful.. do you think if he bloodied odlh and knocked him out we would have this discussion here.. everybody would write.. pbf.... the only man to stop odlh.. hes the best.. heck id be the first to write something like that..

ok.. lack of vision is fine by me if you could tell me this straight up.. are you empressed by pbf's showing tonight?knowing that he has more skills than dela hoya, the only advantage that odlh has is strength.. forget experience coz that has no factor in this fight.. are you satisfied to be called p4p and was backing up all night long?
It's called "ring generalship and defense"

And he stood toe to toe with Oscar too. And it wasnt Floyd getting tired in the late rounds was it? Why do you think that is?
really its funny how its called ring generalship and defense when floyd does it but when another fighter does the same thing they call it "running"

    Come on now

Oscar had advantages in height, reach, weight. He also chose the gloves and the ring size. Oscar couldnt take advantage of those factors and lost the fight. It was close up until the end of the seventh and then Floyd pulled away well....

I dont understand your attitude and its because of attitudes like this that I made this thread!

Just give Floyd his dues and then move on. It was a good fight and Floyd moved up another weight class and won yet another belt. Admittedly it wasnt a slugfest but only somebody naive would have been expecting that!

    LMFAO

Sturm, Pernell, and Mosely all looked better against Oscar.

He was hardly dancing on the backfoot the entire fight!!

He beat Oscar fair and square in a BOXING match. That is how smart boxers win their fights. It may not be edge of the seat stuff but thats how it usually plays out. Personally, I found it to be a very interesting fight.

Floyd once again jumped up in weight and this time very clearly took on and beat the best the division had to offer...

He deserves some acclaim instead of this abuse I see out there on the forum. Stop taking shots for just a moment and give him his moment. Floyd came and delivered and by a wider margin than a single point. No way in a million years could anybody with a rational mind consider giving Oscar the decision. Im not a huge fan of either fighter but can see that Floyd won and in a way that I found pleasing enough to watch.

Haters are just boring entities who need to find more in their lives!

I enjoyed the fight. I can't see how anyone thinks Oscar won, but I didn't have Floyd winning by 6 points. 2-4 at best.
    , right back

It was a close fight up until the end. I had Floyd up by 2 rounds. And that enough...I dont get this unrest about the fight really!

read the third reply to your post.. that was me.. you dont understand my attitude of being unbiased.. come on.. thats why we made this site so we could agrue about boxing.... and i did give floyd his props... once again i only disagree what his fans are saying about odlh being schooled...
