Floyd stepped up another weight division to fight an outstanding Hall of Fame fighter who was by far the bigger man. Despite being overpowered early he kept his composure, didn't crack and fought back strong in the late rounds to win a close, hard fought decision.
He's not Ivan Drago, you can't expect him to just walk through any fighter because he's the best p4p.
Oscar is one of the top 5 or 6 fighters of the last 15 years and he was in the shape of his life. I doubt there has ever lived a welterweight fighter who would just walk through Oscar De La Hoya, beat him sure but nobody in history would have just walked through him and massacred him like you seem to expect.
Go watch Spiderman 3 if you want to see a superhero.

Word. The only thing I disagree with is that it was a great fight. I'd call it a good fight, but it was no Hagler - Hearns or Corrales - Castillo, or Leonard - Hearns etc. fights like like are what I consider great.
Edit : I should add that I agree with No Contest, a fight doesn't have to be a complete blood bath to be a great fight; I hate it when people disregard fights just because someone wasn't carted off to the glue factory afterwards.
