Default whos next for Taylor ?

I was talking to killersheep before and we werent too sure who would be next! In terms of pushing forward I think he should go for Kelly. But if the money is right i think joe? Greg thinks he wont fight Kelly and i can see why, but i want that fight. Kelly or JC IMO would be the big 2 for him. But i really am not sure what he will do, i would be pissed of if Mora got a shot!

Floyd should move up to 160 and make Taylor look like even a bigger Joker than he already is...

I was wondering why in the post fight interview with Merchant there was no mention of JC by JT when he was talking about the MONEY fights.

This would even be a great fight for Delahoya to take, he has the chin, heart, power and speed to comprehensively outbox Jermain Taylor....

I would easily and I mean easily Pick Oscar to beat Jermain Taylor

I would want to see Winky vs. JT II
Pavlik vs. JT would make sense since he is exciting pressed the action and just won a title eliminator

however after JT's last two fights I am thinking he's gonna fight someone like
    Anthony Ivory
    http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=004186

So he can have a good looking performance.

As I told Tam earlier, he has plenty of big names on his resume already he really should take a tune-up fight
someone he can just destroy. Because right now it's not names that he has fought that is the problem, it's
his skill set that's in question particularly his inactivity in the ring.

Taylor - Spinks has my vote for anti-fight of the year.

I think he does need a big name but the fact he will be beating on people who he knows are easy wont attract a lot of attention. I think after Spinks and Ouma he needs to fight at middleweight and i really think he would get the boost if he takes on kelly p.

    This is where I disagree.

From a fans standpoint, absolutely Pavlik earned his shot, he won the damn eliminator. Pavlik is exciting.

But from the standpoint of JT himself, he has come off of horrible performances and needs to be thinking about his future.
Pavlik would make him look bad and possibly beat him, from JT's standpoint he needs a fight where he looks good to
improve his marketability and thus earn more money. If he looks bad against Pavlik, loses to him or even worse gets
another gift decision, he's done......he has no more pulling power financially.

I agree. I thought Taylor was too big for Floyd and that this was a ridiculous fantasy match before, but now I'd definitely pick Floyd to win. He's a much better and (slightly) more offensive version of Spinks--he'd hit Taylor more and get hit less than Spinks did. I'd be all for it. Though it probably wouldn't be great to watch.

I reckon if Taylor put his head down, took the approach of this is a the biggest threat at middleweight for me and truely work, i think he would win. Kellys got the power but if Taylor works we know hes very gifted and i think it would be a good win for him. I hope he doesnt go down the bore fest route in the long run it wont be entertaining but what can i do ? im just a fan

Taylor needs to fight someone who is gonna bring the fight to him, and get him motivated. Either Pavlik or Calzaghe, or someone that will force him to fight. Otherwise, he is just going to lose more credit, and fans.

I think he has a better chance of beating Pavlik then he does Calzaghe. Calzaghe has quick hands and he will try to hit Taylor with them, unlike some fighters who play the "see how close they can get without touching 'em" game.

Pavlik is a tad slow and Taylor should be able to get inside and do some nice body work. Maybe I'm dreamin'.

It's hard to say kind things about Taylor right now. There isn't anything wrong but there isn't anything right. It's just... blah.
