That is scary, I really feel sorry for him, honestly.
He has balls an all but he should just now enjoy his money
I had a hard time understanding one word, he sounds twice as bad as holyfield and is half his age![]()
...small gloves, knees, elbows, and kicks that land on the back of the head will do it to you.
First time I watched it I thought it was funny but honestly now I feel bad for the guy, and that was before the Jackson fight
That reply was from watching 10 seconds, I just watched the rest and even the reporter has to stop while Liddell is mute for a while and asks him "chuck are you ok"

he had pneumonia or something and was highly medicated...White was pissed that his manager even let him do the interview
Most bad government has grown out of too much government. Thomas Jefferson
....White's no better than Don King IMO
I just wish he would take more of a backseat to his fighters and org instead of trying to be such a "vince mcmahon". I think it takes some of the sports credibility away.

You have to be joking Lyle. He's absolutely fine, he was drugged up to death cos of pnemonia and for 38 is in terrific shape. MMA fighters just don't burn out like boxers do. Most boxers are completely done by 35, Vargas for example is still only 29 and he's done. Randy Couture is fighting at 43 and is in the shape of his life, he speaks better than most people on the TV.Originally Posted by Lyle

Wow, I watched the video and really felt sorry for him... that was before I realized it was all down to medication he was taking. Good to hear that!
If you watched him in teh ultimate fighter he speaks absolutely fine. He is still articulate, and doesn't suffer from "punchdrunk"
It was embarassing to watch this.

All those guys were and probably still are in decent enough shape to fight
I know that Lyle they're in great shape as they are, but there are no cases to speak of in MMA so far, and there's a million ex boxers who are in awful shape now, add to that the deaths and debilitaions, you can't say that MMA isn't safer for the fighters than boxing. The average fighter absorbs 250-300 punches over 36 mins, big gloves don't protect fighters, it allows their brains to receive more trauma. In MMA less strikes are landed, but their forces tend to be much greater, which ironically is safer for a fighter long term. Those are facts, they can't be argued with. MMA is safer than boxing.Originally Posted by Lyle

....no cases because no one pays attention to it....look hard enough and you'll find some brain damage.
I hear your "big glove" arguement, but I don't entirely agree with it....smaller gloves/no gloves fuck you up more physically and bigger gloves allow you to punch harder......but what about knees and kicks to the head....you can't tell me what happened to CroCop was good for him
Let kicks like that repeatedly happen and you'll end up like Gerald McClellan
MMA is either more brutal or more safe.....it ain't both
