Dont be so sure. As we all know anything can happen in MMA. Granted rodriguez and barnett he had tough times with. Big imposing grapplers tend to give Randy troubles BUT we all know he is great at executing a gameplan. I have to say as much as i love Randy i couldn't see him pulling off a win against Fedor.

Saying that no one should count Randy out. FFS the guy is 43 and we are talking about a matchup between him and the most dominant MMA exponent the world has ever seen.

Before anything though he would have to beat Gonzaga. The guy seems like an animal to be honest and i think Mirko would have been by far a better match for Randy but lets see what gameplan Captain America tries to bring to the table when/if they fight.

So many people are saying Gonzaga is now an animal and only Fedor would be a match for him. Mirko was caught napping in their fight. He wasn't prepared and i think he had a wakeup call by getting elbowed on the deck.

Anyway. Fedor wins BUT there's a part of me that would like to think Randy could pull off the impossible.

Fedor doesn't get caught napping & would destroy any heavyweight in either ufc or pride

Now that everybody is off of the Mirko bandwagon we might as well put our hope into Fedor, Randy would have no chance in this fight, it's a shame that his miracle win over Sylvia would even cause us to believe that he would have a chance in this fight. Gonzaga will beat Randy and then we will be ready for Fedor to come in and take the championship away from Gonzaga.

I don't think Fedor's stand-up would bother Couture that much, and even though Fedor has a lot of ground game, Randy's as good as anyone on the ground. Definitely a fight I'd like to see.
How would Fedor's stand up not bother Couture? He is a way better puncher than Liddell... look how he stood his ground agaisnt Crocop when they fought stand up. He has a lot of power and accuracy with his punches which is why he is so good at the ground and pound.

I wouldn't say he is more accurate at all....Chuck is known for throwing hard counters while backing up..I'd say accuracy is one of his keys...Fedor quite often overwhelms his opponents....His strength comes from ferocious stand up and great chin combined with a seamless transition in his ground game..

does anyone know if fedor will be fighting in the UFC now that pride is done?

I hope fedor and rampage OR wanderlie silva both dominate the UFC.

I'm a crocop fan so yea i'm still hopeful that crocop comes back better then ever.

Zuffa is still sorting through Prides contracts....Fedor's pride contract was not exclusive and Dana says he wont sign him unless its an exclusive contract...His last fight was in Bodog. I find it hard to believe that he will stay away from UFC for long though.....Silva has stated that he wont fight this year, but I'm sure he will be back to the octagon at some point. I do expect UFC to bring Shogun in as well as Kang and Fihlo.
