Default Calzaghe vs Early 90's SMW

I think its fair to say JC has'nt had the best opposition in his reign as SMW champion for 10 years now. I know he beat Eubank, but that wasnt a prime Eubank. How would he have done against prime Eubank, Collins, Benn, McClennan etc?

I think that all of these would have been tough fights and JC was due to face Collins untill doctors said otherwise, but i believe he was the more skilled boxers out of all of these and would have beat them all.

I know alot of you will disagree but they would have been close fights, but still have JC winning!!!

He'd have always been far too busy for Eubank, would have found Nigel's dodgy jaw, Collins? Pfft, far too sharp for Collins

Eubank vs Calzaghe = Calzaghe by decision
Benn vs Calzaghe = Calzaghe by tko
Collins vs Calzaghe = Calzaghe by decision
Watson vs Calzaghe = Watson by decision
Gerald vs Calzaghe = Gerald by ko or tko in middle rounds

Benns chin is too shaky Calzaghe would just get in and out throw combos repeat ect and remember Calzaghe before hand issues had quite a bit of power aswell.

Mitchell dropped Calzaghe and for a split second Calzaghe looked gone if Benn connected it would'nt be a split second he would be out Benn was a bigger puncher than Mitchell

i would say Lacy is a bigger puncher than benn, look what happened there. If benn stops Gerald then that tells me Calzaghe would beat him. Before JC did his hands in he had a fairbit of power, and dont forger none of these are natural SMW, so there power wouldnt have the same effect as it did for themall at MW. Calzaghe beats them all.

Lol yes you answered my question a split second and he got up and beat living hell out of Mitchell it was flash knockdown so what how about bringing up Logan who had Benn down and almost stopped him if it wasn't for the lucky punch Benn caught him with he would of been stopped more than likely Benn was very exciting fighter to watch i watch his fights alot myself but your talking about flash knockdown where as Benn has been shook up so many times i can't even count it on my fingers and toes.

Lacy is nowhere near Benns class Benn had headmovement Lacy was punchbag in that fight and Lacy didn't even land clean but i will have to admit the Calzaghe that fought Lacy would tko Benn.

I think a Calzaghe with fresh hands beats has the potential to be the victor against each of them.

Benn is perhaps the most dangerous, with that punchers chance of staying in and winning a fight...

I think Watson that fought Eubank in rematch would beat Calzaghe that Watson was so good he was like a machine that night.

16 world title fights won 12 of them Benn was a really good fighter 42 wins 35 by KO yes he got shook up quite a few times but only stopped twice properly Watson and Eubank the Collins stoppages were twisted ankle and retired on his stool but a stoppage is a stoppage.Benn hits harder than Mitchell and Salem i think if he got his punches off he would stop Calzaghe Calzaghe is a good boxer but Benn could box abit aswell as brawl and boy could he bang.

But you might aswell say if he got shook up by Logan and was put down and he was also stopped by Watson by a stiff jab then Calzaghe could stop Benn then ?? i think Calzaghe has much bigger chance of tkoing Benn than Benn does at doing it to Calzaghe.
