Prime liston vs Prime Forman

Never heard this fight yet so i thought i put it out there i think i take Liston i think his jab and power would win him the decision any thoughts on this i love to here them.

Sucks when nobody replies huh? I'm kinda surprised no one has, good matchup really.

Liston was the orignal bad ass. He even taught Foreman a few things. Certainly Liston was the better boxer, had a good jab like you say, and definite power. His chin was damn good too. Still Foreman had freakish power and a good chin of his own. Its very possible that Liston could beat him, but I'd favor Foreman to bludgeon him in a short fight with Foreman getting dropped himself possibly. Something like Foreman vs. Ron Lyle.

That is a real good matchup idea. I personally think a prime Foreman demolishes Liston. I cant really say I've seen a prime Liston is the problem tho. Him mugging Patterson, or Foreman mugging Frazier. They would both collide in the center of the ring first round k.o., theres no way it goes past 4.CC to you for the idea.

but like hulk said, it could be similar to the lyle fight.

I'd say Foreman. Liston would probably be winning, but George eventually gets him.

Man that Lyle fight was great, I watched that on Youtube about a month back for the first time and I was very impressed with both guys. Lyle literally had to be beaten into unconsciousness before he was done.

Indeed, Liston was the better technican but i believe George was stronger with more power

I'm with Hulk. Liston was a very under-rated boxer. But I think Foreman's slight edge in size and power would see him climb off the deck (ala Lyle fight) to win a thriller. Boy what a fight it would be.

What about prime Tyson v prime Foreman?

Redundant,but this ends up being power vs power
The only fighter that knocked big George out was Ali,and he had to fight a defensive masterpiece to do it,Liston doesnt roll that way,but even with his vaunted power,quite a few fighters took Liston to a decision,and all but 1 of his losses had Liston on the canvas.

I still think that Liston could weather the storm for the early rounds and then put forman away after by ko or by points but that just me.
