I can see the reasoning for your inclusion of Beckham, IMO though the ultimate killer in football has always been speed so I wouldnt include beckham solely for that reason, he sacrifices too much in this department.

Not necessairly cause Brazils the ONLY 5 time WC winner and their style is far from being about speed. Their a give and go team who get you out of rythim and have the ball so much in control that they make you loose your patience to the point where you start making mistakes and thats when they capitalize.
I think the defense I set up is strong enough to hold up any attacks plus Maradona could always end up moving up front as forward and have a 4-3-3 formation rather then the original 4-4-2 that I set up.
Then once I was up killing the opposing team I'd sub-in Ronaldo for Hugo and have Becks serving him the ball all day long.
