Spinks wasn't that great at hw he should of lost both fights to faded Holmes he ducked Tony Tucker beat a washed up Cooney and got sparked out in a round against Tyson Jones still was better in every department than Spinks was at Lightheavyweight or Heavyweight.

yeah and if jones faced tyson in his prime RJJ would have been sparked also.

I go with Spinks by decision....He was a great LH top 3 of all time...He fought at that weight in a very competitive era for the division....Dont get me wrong it would not be a walk through but his awkwardness and skill would prevail

I think Holmes won that fight also. But to be honest, it was sort of funny when they read that Spinks won again and Holmes facial reaction was hilarious. Almost like he was saying, "they did it to me again" and then he made some outrageous comments to Larry Merchant. This added to his jock strap comment after the first Holmes fight. By the way, what is the big deal about that record Holmes was going to surpass with the 48 wins and no losses. Can't a guy pad his record against tomato cans and then be 47-0 and defend the title once and get that record? Valuev almost got the record a few months ago didn't he?
