Castillo would have been an easier fight for Hatton then Ndou when it comes to the styles.

Its easy to say it isnt now, but people acknowledged before Malignaggi outclassed him that Ndou was Cotto's toughest fight at 140.

What Malignaggi has said in interviews is this

Castillo was is coming up from 135 with only a fight at 140 and will be the smaller man.

    Castillo is a shot fighter

Castillo went life or death with ndoujuo who just got beat by an old randall bailey(outboxed by randall bailey)

So in his mind, Ndou is a tougher prospect of an opponent then a supposedly shot Castillo. And I sort of agree with that. The Castillo fight is exciting, but I think from his last fight, that Castillo isnt the same fighter.

I didn't see Paulie fight tonight, but I'm glad he did well.
Ricky Hatton would destroy N'Dou and Castillo would probably beat Malignaggi worse than Cotto beat him.

Im glad Malignaggi won convincingly. I was worried that the hair might have been too much, but its reasurring to know it didnt become an issue.

Malignaggi is clearly amongst the top 3 at 140 pounds. Hatton would brutalise him.

I don't know how you can think N'dou is an easier match up for Hatton than Castillo, N'dou fights just like Ben Tackie, and Hatton smashed him up for 12 rounds years ago when he wasn't even in his prime. N'dou is a mile past his best and has shown that even feather fisted Paulie Malignaggi can not just out box him, but beat on him as well.

Sometimes I think people have forgotten who Jose Luis Castillo is, look him up on your p4p lists, for years he;s been on them, he's beaten the creme de la creme at 135lbs and has been beating them for years. Joel Casamayor is considered #1 at 135lbs today. Castillo beat him. Go back about 6 years when Stevie Johnston was the top dog at 135. Castillo beat him. Then there's the Mayweather years, 2 close fights of which Castillo surely won the first one. Then he beats top contender Juan Lazcano and current champ Julio Diaz.

Castillo made his name before he faught Corrales, but a lot of people seem to have forgotten his past.

What a great result for Paulie. I have always thought N'Dou was all talk, but since he was fighting from my part of the world and I thought Paulie had underestimated him i thought N'Dou would pull an upset. But what a great display from Paulie, total domonance against a veteran of the ring. I guess it confirms my feelings for N'Dou that he is all talk. Well done Paulie a well deserved victory.

Top notch stuff Dan CC. Up until about half a year ago before the emergence of Cotto and the Mosley comeback, Castillo was on the P4P list.

Yeah and in his "prime" he couldn't even do it for more then 2 rounds against Urango. Right?

    Coming from a Zab fan

First off, there are more people saying Hatton is NOT in his prime right now, secondly he did it for 5 rounds against Urango and did it beautifully. The rest he still won, just not pretty. That shouldn't be a problem for a Raheem fan though right?

I don't have any idea what point you're trying to prove by naming the fighters.

those fighters have nothing to do with Ricky Hatton unless they are fighting.

What I said was that I agree that Castillo isn't the same fighter and Ndou would be a tougher fight for Hatton. I'm entitled to it. And it hasn't been like Ricky Hatton has been a monster destroyer lately.

And Ndou doesn't fight like Ben Tackie. You'd fight a closer comparison in Castillo for THAT matchup

Well you're knocking Hatton for something that you wouldn't knock other fighters for. Ndou would be in no possible way tougher for Hatton. N'dou's strengths are the same as Hatton's and Hatton is miles better. Maybe if Ndou was a slick fighter but tougher then Castillo, no. Hatton is probably going to have to change up a bit and box on the outside and limit his time inside for Castillo while Ndou he would just have his way with.

And to say Hatton had 2 good rounds against Urango is wrong.

It was a statement, and I didn't actually mean he only had it for 2 rounds, im basically saying that he wasn't able to sustain it against Urango.

Why do you think that is?

Because he has stamina problems...and Urango wasn't really opening up for Hatton. Hatton still won the rounds without question.

Ricky Hatton can't destroy anybody. Even as a Brit I think he's the most overrated fighter in boxing. If Hatton and Malignaggi fight Hattons wins a highly controversial decision imo.

Malignaggi will prove himself to be the best boxer at 140 lbs over the next couple years.
