The money at the time was at Middleweight. But the Money long term was at 154.
Just a few possible fights at 154. Assuming he had not retired.
Tito - DLH 2 I do not agree DLH would win a rematch. Not higher than 147, no way.
Tito - Mosley I never understood the people that think Mosley would beat Tito. Mosley is not very defensive. He would not be able to handle Tito for 12 rounds and at 154 he would have very slim chance of KOing Tito.
Tito - PBF If he had not retired, it is possible this could have eventually happend. Don't know if Tito could win though, but he would have a decent shot.
Each one of these fights would make him 20MILLION or more easy.
The only problem with this is that Winky was still around at 154 and Tito would not be able to avoid him for ever. Tito would never beat Winky. His style was perfect for him.
i think Oscar would have beat Tito at 154, because he did and still does suprisingly well at the weight, IMO his only real loss at 154 was against Mayweather and that was by one point, he beat Mosley in the rematch at 154 and everyone knows it's true
From what i remember, Tito was pushing for a rematch and Oscar, as usual, wanted conditions to be set. From what I remember, Oscar wanted the majority of the money (as usual) and wanted Tito to fight at a catch weight (151). I believe Tito wanted to fight at 154. I could be mistaken, but I know Tito did not back down from anyone.Originally Posted by zzz

IMO he didn't had to enter into the Middleweight mini tournament. He should had stayed at 154 but yet again, he was going to lose to Winky anyways and when you're at the level that Tito was and you find someone that has your number is difficult not to become frustrated and keep cementing your legacy when you know someone is better than you and you can't do any improvement to overcome it.
I didn't get that fight. He beat Joppy like Joppy was an overrated bum. And Joppy was a good fighter. That is why everyone was so high on Tito beating Hopkins. The talk before the fight was the left hook will land and Hopkins will be knocked out.Originally Posted by Dark Lord Al
It was really unexpected how easy that fight was for Tito. And do you guys remember how Joppy just dropped his hands right in front of Tito in the 1st. Nobody could figure out why he did that. He deserved to get KTFO after that dumb move.Originally Posted by LegendBoxing65
Joppy fought the worst fight of his career that night. Almost like he did not prepare mentally for Tito or did not respect him. I think a sign of a good fighter or great is that when he fights a guy, he knows what to expect and is not surprised. Especially a guy like Tito who everyone knew what he had as far as skills.Originally Posted by The Rookie Fan
Joppy's big mistake is that he thought he was the stronger fighter. He thought just because it was Tito's first fight at 160, that it would be OK to stand in front of him and trade.Originally Posted by LegendBoxing65
Tito's career is pretty simple.... everyone who stood right in front of him and traded with him got KO'd.
Everyone who boxed him, showed him movement, showed angles... these guys gave Tito lots of problems.
Makes you wonder what would have happened had Tito fought Julian Jackson.. My guess is Julian would have knocked him out.
