Malignaggi-Hatton would be an interesting style matchup at 140. Slick boxer vs. inside body puncher. If they held it in NYC or Atlantic City, it could draw a huge crowd, as you'd have Malignaggi's NY fans, and it'd be a shorter trip for the UK fans than going to Vegas.

If Hatton decides to stay at 140, I'd be willing to bet that this is the fight HBO tries to make.

Yes but what would happen IF (and it's a HUGE IF) Paulie did well vs Ricky Would he get a fair shake? Also the ref styles over seas are different too.

Great point, I imagine that HBO would insure there was an American ref, and at least 2 american judges, I don't know if that's possible but I'd like to see that if the fight was in Manchester, or Wembley. I'm sure Malignaggi would be more than compensated in terms of $ to come overseas, I bet his purse would be at least 3 times his purse for the Cotto fight.

I'm with you. I would like to see that fight, but I can't see it happening. Even with his lossing streak, Judah is still a dangerous fighter. Because he's on the losing streak, Hatton doesn't gain anything by beating him. On the other hand, he loses much of his standing if Judah pull it off.

I'm betting that Paul is going to be his next fight. It's the biggest fight Malignaggi can make and I'm guessing Hatton would like grab back his old IBF strap, and he will destroy Paulie. I like Paulie a lot, but reality is reality. If Paulie is smart, he'll avoid Hatton like the plague and Witter, D-Hop, or the Torres/Holt winner. He has a chance against those guys and if he wins, he'll make more if he even ends up facing Hatton.

Hatton has the footspeed to cut off the ring against Malignaggi, he has twice the power, and Paulie's light punches will bounce off his chin. Look at what Cotto did to him. Cotto is stronger and hits harder than Hatton, but Hatton has better speed and footwork than Cotto, and IMHO, Hatton has a better chin than Cotto.

I don't see Malignaggi's jab bothering Hatton much at all.

Paulie actually has only 5 KO's, there is obviously not a lot of power there. But Paulie is a nice boxer that will give any fighter problems. I see Hatton winning if they fight, but I don't see him steam rolling Paulie
