The HONORABLE thing that can be done is a rematch... Floyd unhesitantly granted Jose a rematch to do right by the fans and Castillo...

I like Ricky a lot he is a nice fella. But I get so Arsed when people throw around the words HONOR and PRIDE, when in fact he Promised Collazzo a rematch on national television and then renegged.. I asked a few zealous Hatton fans why no rematch? they say well its old news, been there done that, he beat him, why bother for another fight...

My next question is. Where is the Honor and pride with the desire to fulfill your promises made and silence the critics who thought he lost
I would have been disappointed w/o a rematch had Hatton stayed at welter. The fact that he went back down to 140 makes a rematch pointless and not worthwhile. also Hatton gave up his belt....to get it back Collazo would not have to beat Hatton.

I heard there was loads of pressure coming from Collazo's people for a rematch and Hatton agreed to it because they constantly barked on about it until Hatton said 'yeh ok.' Billy Graham bollocked him for agreeing to it.....he pretty much hated the idea of fighting at 147 anyway because of the advantages he loses. The plan was never to even fight at 140 but that's the only fight he could take on HBO without losing the date so he took it. In that respect i don't blame him for not rematching....especially when there are loads of guys at 140 to look good against. They didn't know he was going to be full of a cold in his next fight.

At the end of the day it was a big struggle and he somehow pulled the win out of his arse....

I'm sure we've all agreed to something that in hindsight we didnt fancy doing and this was no different

he gave away a full weight division and beat the guy in his own backyard so i don't see the point in wasting another 6 months recovering and training for the same opponent....yeah it was a close fight but when there are plenty of other opponents to look better against or achieve greater recognition for fighting against i think he did the right thing for his career.

Personally, I've put down that I think both decisions were ultimately fair decisions because quite simply, that's the way I saw it on the tellybox, however differently it might look to those down there at ringside.
I thought a fair few of the rounds in the Castillo/Mayweather bout could have gone either way, whilst Hatton's knockdown edged him out ahead in his bout with Collazo.

So the short of it, Ricky got the gate pass and excused.. Like I said dont give me this Honor and Pride spiel about Hatton and then Bastardize Floyd by dissecting and saying he ducked this one and that one
