Well you shouldn't be considering its going to be the biggest boxing venue in Europe ever. Or maybe he shouldn't be allowed hometown advantage and the fight out to be made in some carnival tent in shitsville, Louisiana, just to placate the haters?

Sorry Mick, but as Memphis pointed they're all discussion threads with no official line from the promoters, except for one. Now perhaps you consider it semantics, but for me all these threads were born out of the fact that Calzaghe is one of the most discussed fighters on this forum, rather than lots of announcements about the fight.

However, I confess that there is an awful lot of discussion about him, as he does tend to polarise opinion, and I'll drop you a few CC's later on in the week.

I know alot of people ahve ben whining and moaning about this fight taking so long to happen, but right now i, for one am glad!

simple reason... there aint no fucking way (apart form a dubious DC) that calzaghe can't get massive respect after he beats kessler...

FACT - if he had fought and whooped kessler instead of fighting bika the entire world would be screaming "ANOTHER MARIO VIET" this has taken so long, all the experts have chimed in, all forums have been non stop buzz, all the non fans or neutrals have been calling this very close and kessler very skilled all because its taken so long and people have had chance to see him...

I know joe has been syaing for a while he wanted him to raise his profile, maybe he was sick of not getting respect for beating good fighters? maybe it was total luck...

but right now, this is the best wya it could work out for him...

Is a shame it's not on terrestrial and it'll be interesting to see if Khan stays with ITV as their 'One off fighter' (i think he will).
I personally would be a bit F*cked off that it's not on terrestrial tv if i were Joe.
His biggest fight in 10 years and it's on PPV when he was fighting in front of (potentially) the whole of the UK in his last 4/5 fights.

How can that work if he's a FW fighter? Saturday must be the last Khan fight on ITV all the while he has the Setanta deal.

The plus side for Joe is if he gets battered hardly anyone will see it
