There seems to be 2 main schools of thought in boxing when it comes to predictions by trainers and pundits. People like Harold Lederman, Dan Rafael, Greg Leon etc. that will always pick guys like Mayweather every day of the week no matter who is fighting them, they'll trash anyone who doesn't box like they do in the book but are champs, Like Hatton or Margarito etc. And then there's guys like Brian Kenny, Joe Tessitore, Manny Steward and Fenech who like fighters, they're the type of guy that would pick Duran against Leonard, or Hatton against Mayweather, they'd at least give them a chance anyway.
The big difference is Hatton is not even close to being Duran. He has no chance. You should be banned from ever posting here for using Hatton and Duran in the same sentence. It's an insult to Duran, Saddo and the whole boxing community for you to do that.
You don't think that left hook to the body is reminiscent of Roberto? Hands of stone would be proud of a body shot like the one Hatton crumbled Castillo with.
Please. Duran fought and beat fighters in there prime. Hatton's 2 biggest names were both past there prime and hadn't really been active. Hatton wouldn't be fit to even be a sparring partner for Duran.
Saying Hatton wouldnt be fit to be a Duran sparring partner is taking it a bit far, but u are right Hatton is not in and wont ever be in the league of Duran. Roberto won titles in multiple divisions, and fought greats like Hearns, Leonard, and Hagler in their primes. Hatton is a decent 140 fighter, thats beaten one older fighter in Tszyu and an absolutely shot fighter in Castillo and thats about it.

This is boxing, shit anything could happen. It's not like there is no chance in hell hatton beats mayweather, I mean he's the underdog but he's got a decent chance his forward going mauling hugging hitting style might just be what does floyd in. It's not pretty but it's been effective, and kostya wasn't in his prime anymore, but hatton still should get credit for the win, hatton is way more than just a "decent" 140 pound fighter!

Alright, alright. I give Hatton almost, almost as much chance as Arturo Gatti had against Mayweather. There I gave him a chance.

haha so your giving hatton a chance of looking like a fuckin doughface come the fifth round, I don't know I think hatton will just happen to give floyd all kinds of problems. Hell mayweather is way more talented than hatton but I still think hatton can pull it off , maybe it's just me wanting to see pbf lose really badly. Either way I don't care I am looking forward to novemeber should be a great month!

To be fair to Jeff he was a shadow of his former self when Calvin Grove KOED him , bad hands , and hard fights had caught up with him . Ricky is in his prime so its unrealistic to use that as an anology

Why do I have a feeling Mayweather might tease his fans every three to six months about another fight. heh

No disrespect to Fenech whos is a tough SOB and everything .. but when was the last time Fenech was right about anything. This was also the guy that said Tyson was ready to take over the heavyweight division again.

Jeff has a bad habit of thinking he can will things a certain way just by being hardnosed enough about it. His advice in the corner half the time is to go out there and just kill the guy. Hurt him... beat his @$$. Its one thing to want it .. Its another thing to get your @$$ kicked while trying to will it so on heart alone.

If they ever made a movie about him though .. Vinny Jones would be perfect to play the part.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Probably not. Then again Stallone never seemed like a heavyweight to me either. Maybe vinny could just do voiceovers..
