He's in for the money.
you can see in the ring he has no desire to box or fight.
I cant believe he won gold at the olympics,
i could beat him and im only 160 lbs

harrison is total crap....he wont get back into the fray now....its impossible. he's too old to change those flaws now...
he only won gold medal because there were no usa super heavys and the kid he beat in the final had to hold down 2 jobs to pay his way whille audley had sponsorship from the natinal lottery, he train with the olypic team at million £ camp with top trainers, they even payed for him to spar with danny williams, its since then they hate each other
The fact that there were no good heavies that year, harrison had age, experience and size on every body might of helped him slightly
The one eyed man is king in the land of the blind![]()
To be honest Audley has had the skills anyone who disrespects his achievments at the Olympics needs to go back and watch the tapes, becasue he has some serious quick skills with a tremendous reach, i just dont know whats happened to him he was out injured for a long time about 18 months ago maybe that has something to do with it, i dont question his physical atributes at all because i still say he has some of the best skills when he uses them than the majority if not all the heavyweights.
But something has gone a miss over the last two years or so because even though he was fighting bums he was showing some good skills but his last two fights he has looked a different fighter, did something happen in his personal life while he was out of the ring or something we dont know of??
Who knows but he is kidding himself if he thinks he will be the Champ becasue he has had a chance to redeem himself and didnt do anything so what will be different next time??
Retire and leave the game my friend
no matter how you look at it harrison beat calvin brock in the olympics and now brock is rated as a good up and coming heavyweight so the ability must be there. he needs to stop hiding behind his medal and regain his hunger and drive to be a champ. his career is badly scarred but not shattered yet he can still be a champ if he regains his focus and picks the right fight.
BTW he's still a lazy bitch
I think a fight with Sam Peter would be a step in the right direction, but he could well be knocked the fuck out.Originally Posted by Sugar_Shaw
he won the gold medal but i never saw him as being the best fighter there, he never stood out as a true champ.
de la hoya won a world title after 10 fights after the olympics, holyfield was world champ after 12 once he came back from the olympics, fernado vargas made world champ on his 15th fight again after the gold medal and Jeff Fenech came home from the olympics and on his 7th pro fight became world champ, these guys all looked world class inthe build up to there title fights
audley has been crap against everyone he's fought, his first 19 fights were against no bodies even there neighbours never knew who those guys were, he fought Julius Francis who was once british champ, against audley he was 39, 2 stone over weight had 1 week notice for the fight and had lost his last 6 and audley could only win on points. he only fought danny williams because he thought williams was finished had he known danny still had some juice he never would have got in the ring with him

I agree with some of your opinions, but he was a good ameateur and beat some good guys including Sam Peter, he was the favourite for the Gold medal in his weight class from the off, so maybe in your opinion he wasn't the best in Sydney but the general opinion was he was the man to beat at the 2000 Olympics.Originally Posted by nuclear bull
i respect anyone who wins a tournament, even more when its in boxing because its like no other sport. he was beaten by sinan samil sam in the amatures and never went near him in the pro's.
in my opinian amature is one thing pro another
amatures---- a man his size should do well because he's got 4 2minute rounds he can jab and cross the hell out of you because as you all know, body shots don't score so he wont get hit by many so the smaller guys have a tough time landing head shots on him, he will get the win by points. the kid he beat in the final was half his size and couldn't land any head shots, sinan samil sam is around 6'4 and comes stright at you.
i'm willing to bet sam peter would beat him easy in the pro ranks, but we'll never see the fight because audley would never sign the contract due to his being a coward
He never met Brock in the Olypics i just wnet through the tapes this afternoon, i was certain he never met an American at the Olympics so i made sure, i dont know did he fight him in the Am's?? But he defintly didnt fight him in the Olympics.Originally Posted by Sugar_Shaw
Again i agree with alot of your stuff, you make sense but to say he never went near Sam?? Audrey has only stepped up to anywhere near that level in his last two fights, if anything he is still not experienced to be fighting you Guinn's and Sam's he has only had 21 fights. Sam was fighting a WBC Eliminator in his last fight, the problem with Audrey is he is 34 and has no time to change things. He was fighting Wiggins only last year!!!!Originally Posted by nuclear bull
thats right he never beat an american on route to his gold medal because there were non at super heavy, but like i said amautre is one thing pro another
sam turned pro around the sam time as audley and was euro champ 2 and a half years later and was the first fighter to knockout williams he also ko'd julius francis and is ranked in the wbc also he is seen as one of the best 3 fighters in euro, that shows a big difference in class
sam ko'd williams at a time when frank warren offered audley half a million pounds to fight him and audley didn't want it even though he said after his first pro fight that he could beat danny in his next fight
theres alot of big guys in the amatures who kick butt and i've already said why, then they turn pro and get there ass beat. amature and pro are almost 2 different sports in boxing
