but seriously his chin is exposed and i read somewhere that Limond had watched the tape of the fight and stated that the ref gave Khan 13 minutes to recover and he is fuming. What we cannot forget is Limond is a part timer any body else with a half decent punch and he would not have got up what ever the ref counted to.
13 seconds it was...but you were close.

    Ok Ok Ok...

Don't forget that this kid destroyed Mario Kindelan and that guy is a fuckin legend! Yes Kindelan was not in his prime, but he was considerably better than Limond and fighters have an off night.

I am not saying Khan is the best in the world or will be best in the world, but can we put this in perspective...he wasn't on top form but it is the first underperformance we have seen from him.

Someone mentioned earlier that Haye got spanked by Thompson, lets not forget that Klitschko lost to Puritty and Winky lost to Vasquez.

Khan is not them, but come on chaps...keep your hair on!

I think he's a very courageous dude. Somebody tested his heart and passed.

He needs to tightened that neck and jaw though.

yup me too, but I was saying if he doesn't finish him this round....he had youth on his side and recovered well. I think a L on his record NOW would do him good, if only to take the spotlight off him so he can develop without the attention and his head getting any bigger. I just see the usual bs think we've heard spouted about fighters who got too much attention early in their careers. Farnell anyone?

Are fighters not allowed to learn anymore? I cart believe the shite i'm reading from some of you lot. The kid is 20 years old in his 13th fight....he's pure potential. At 20 years old he is way ahead of what Hatton and Calzaghe were. Calzaghe wasn't even a pro at 20! Hatton was fighting the likes of Pascuel Montelet or whatever he was called. Everyone seems to expect Kahn to be perfect....like he's not allowed to make mistakes. If he didn't make mistakes he would already be fightin for a world title....that's the point in building him up slowly.

Kahn got caught high on the temple and it was his inexperience that got him trouble. Instead of going down straight away he tried to stay on his feet which lead to him shipping 4 straight clean shots bang on the chin....his arms were all over the place trying to maintain his balance. He was hurt but it doesn't provide enough evidence to say he has a glass jaw. A shot on the temple has anyone in trouble....as does 4 clean power punches in quick succession. It's irrelavent that Limond is not a power puncher...feck me i reckon if i was allowed to land 4 clean shots on amir kahn, it would have some impact. At the end of the day he is not god, he's just a prospect and this fight will have done him the world of good.

What he needs to do now is go back to the drawing board and seriously look for a new trainer. Apart from size and strength he is not really showing that he is learning that much defensively....and this is the one thing that will set him apart from other prospects. He needs to be more conservative and not try to rush his work.

I also think he needs to get away from being the main event. He needs to fight out of the public eye...for the sake of his career. ITV want Kahn to appeal to the average fan....maybe even the average sports fan. The problem is the average fan probably hasn't heard of Willie Limond and they expect Kahn to absolutely steamroll every single opponent. I honestly believe this is one of the reasons why Kahn looks so rushed and over eager.....also this could be down to some old amateur habits. Stil, over the next few years he will slowly mature mentally.

He has the potential to be world champion....easily IMO.

I said this fight with Limond would'nt be as easy as some thought i thought he showed good character to comeback a bigger puncher could of stopped him yes.I think one of his main problems is he trys to please to much trys to hard for the ko he should build for it behind his jab and his skills. He was very over anxious on saturday.

CC Seanie. I was so pissed off Small was stopped. He ducked the last fucking punch. Small should demand a rematch. I had him winning by a few rounds when that happened.

I was also upset by the Small stoppage our refs are getting to safety conscious look how many punches american fighters have to take before ref stops it this was similar to the Manfredo stoppage no doubt Small was hurt but not out.

missed this one as I was in Latvia on a stag do and we couldn't find it on anywhere

still haven't seen any of the knockdowns (all clips removed from youtube ! along with the Gatti fights too ) so not sure in how much trouble he actually was or how close he came to getting stopped ??

have said for a while Khan was getting too cocky (driving the Lamborghini round Leeds city centre music blaring) and over believed in his own ability and what he needed was a few hairy moments early on in his career to make him realise he isn't necessarily the best out there yet . Sounds like he got one It may have done him good - it may not have done. He has continually got caught with too many punches and as most people say above - against a big puncher he will be sparked out and then his career will be over.

I seem to remember another British fighter a few years ago who was a bit cocky and couldn't come back from defeat...

As i said from day one - Amir Khan will be found out and kayoed within 14 fights
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

Small almost got his jaw knocked off and his eyes went into orbit the stoppage was right and Small was behind i don't know how you had him ahead it was close in early going but then Pryce started pulling away on scorecards with his workrate.
