Default The 5 Best Puertorrican vs Mexican fights

Follow up to El Gamo and my threads LOL

I didn't see most of these fights so you are all welcomed to correct me and/or add your own.

Escobar - Casanova First Title fight between Puerto Rico and Mexico. Escobar becomes first Puertorrican champion.

Gomez - Zarate 72 knockouts in 74 fights between them. Enough said.

Sanchez - Gomez Who can forget the battle of the little giants. One of Sanchez's best performances.

Chavez - Camacho Not a fan of Camacho but there was a combined reccord here of 121 - 1. Pretty impressive.

Cuevas - Espada This was a one sided trilogy for Cuevas.

Left out Trinidad - De la Hoya and Trinidad - Vargaz because I am not sure if Mexicans consider De la Hoya or Vargaz as Mexican.

forgot TRINIDAD v.s. CAMPAS! Both perfect records at the time. I believe Campas was 54-0. That is probably the best 4 round fight ever.

CC on the Escobar-Casanova fight. That was WAYYYY the hell back, but it was the beginning of what is today a humungous rivalry. By the way, Sixto Escobar had a stadium named after him here... so he must've been pretty good.
