I can't see him catching Raheem personally... He is too slick and quick for Freitas.

The interesting part of this fight is that both guys use a good bit of lateral movement. Raheem is better teachnically, but I'm almost certain he hasn't seen anyone like Freitas, defeintely not on this level. Raheem does have a questionable abilty to take a punch and as does Freitas...but I think we'll all agree that Freitas has a advantage in the power department.

I pick Freitas to get a tko victory in the 10th of a very competetive fight.
cc,that was EXACTLY my prediction,Freitas late,I have not seen Raheem enough but there would not be this much indifference about him if he was the real deal I guess and also,is he really slick enough to avoid contact for the whole 12 rounds given that Freitas has the lateral movement too. Freitas will be no stationary target either and combine that with the power and I think he will win
The reason people are indifferent to Raheem is because he has only really had one big fight, plus he didn't look great against Juarez at 126, and everyone thinks that he just beat Morales because he wasn't prepared.. The thing is if Raheem isn't the real deal in your mind, then really your boy Margarito shouldn't be either ... It's no different they each have showed alot but just need to prove it at the top level, and you can say things against either of them based on average performances, but they dont really tell the tale.. Watch for Raheem to impress you in this one, im picking him to box his way to a clear UD. He really is fast and slick, I like him.

He's a bigger puncher then Barrios.

Raheem, a heavier fast right handed harder punching version of Joel Casamayor but throws more punches maybe that will help

Woah, bigger faster Casamayor?!? Im a Casamayor fan,and think he is VASTLY underrated, are you being serious? Does he really hit as hard as Barrios? If this is the case,I may have to re-evaluate my opinion. Im going to try to find some Raheem fights but still,1 thing,he's never fought anyone with the power of Frietas,I mean he can bang!!

It's different with Tony,I see a machine that cannot be stopped, and I think that most people at 147 see that too which would explain unwillingness to fight him but that's a different matter. Hmmm.I'm getting intrigued by Raheem. I still think that in the 1 round Erik came actually thought about it,round 11 I think,Raheem did not look comfortable at all.

But Morales couldn't take advantage in round 12. And Raheem won the 11th round other then the fact that Morales sent him across the slippery ring. And Morales only did what he did because he was frustrated. I also think Raheem is being trained by a Mayweather was trained by Floyd and now is trained by Jeff. But I'm not sure that Freitas could stand up to the kind of punches he hit Morales with. he also has a good jab

Interesting...well,only a few days to go but I still just am not sure whether he can avoid Freitas who is just soo gangly and weird and unorthodox! Does anyone know if Freitas still swings wildly like he did against Corrales?

I would have to disagree, I think Barrios is a bigger puncher.

I also would have to disagree with you saying he hits harder than Casamayor..I even think Casamayor has more power.

Freitas is unorthodox but it only works on a fighter who doesn't jab him. Freitas can sway and bob all he wants but he needs to step forward to be effective, and when he steps forward Raheem will hit him with a jab. This could look like the Hamed barerra fight.

Hmm,but naz did not train for that fight and Raheem maybe slick but I don't think he can evade Freitas for the whole fight"

He won't need to. he just has to make Freitas come forward and hit him, coming forward is when Freitas is at risk also because HE NEVER KEEPS HIS HANDS UP!

aaaah, good observation,I recall that from the Corrales fight ESPECIALLY when he was tired,he was just bouncing around, pot shotting with his hands literally by his sides!!

Freitas should win this. More experience, he's bigger, good speed, and power.

If he doesn't, major, major props to Raheem.

hahaha,so Starr just persuaded me to see her way of things and then you come along with that!!! That is exactly what I thought but think about how lazy Freitas is at times etc It is certainly much closer than I originally thought BUT I'm still not sold on Raheem's ability to take Freitas blows.

Raheem has fought at 154 before who's bigger And Raheem is faster. And he keeps his hands up. Freitas doesn't keep his hands up and tires. And he will tire more when he misses punches. So Raheem will have a target all night and also remember Freitas has a weak body, he gets hurt whenever you dig his body
