He can pick up one of those paper titles floating around. But Wlad eats him and any other heavy up right now.

Thomas Hayes is not decent..if you check his boxrec you will see very few fighters he has fought who have winning records. That is a very padded 26-2. The win means nothing.

I seen Arreola fight twice. Looked a little sloppy to me both times, and despite his high KO percentage he doesnt have much power. He is mostly beating up on nodbody's

Who can say in a couple years. He has good size and alright speed but he hasnt fought any good opposition yet

Can you name a prospect who came up and didn't face nobodies? Arreola is facing bums. But he's doing what he suppose to do with them. He's knocking them out. But it is time he steps up the competition a little.

Arreola looked sound to me. has nice size , a good work rate, put mustard on his shots tonight. I like the way he got his leverage on the shots tonight . I like him a great deal ,

This kid Arreola had an exciting match vs. undefeated Damian Willis , a match that honestly saved the Mayweather - Baldmir card . .

some of you folks are being too critical on him,

The HW division needs more seek and destroy types like Arreola ..! High determination factor and a warrior mentality . as opposed to the hide behind your jab , and hope to win a 12 R decision type fighter mentality you see in so many HW’s today. . That 4 corners Manny Steward defense, does not put asses in seats.

Things are starting to change for the better in HW boxing.

    People,

I wrote a decent opponent. This is not the same as a decent fighter. Get over yourselves....

Most up and coming prospects fight the same retreads with 8-26-4 records. The fact that he's at least fighting someone who knows how to win and has beaten a couple of decent opponents himself should be applauded.

He's also fighting every other month which is a fair clip nowadays too.

He blew straight through Hayes so he stays on course. With the right marketing he could be a player in the division in the years to come. Mexican-US Heavyweight power puncher is like a white heavyweight in the 80's

I didnt mean to be overly critical. I think Arreola is a good prospect. He has good work rate, size, and good speed for his size.

I didnt see his most recent fight against hayes, but the others I saw I thought he looked average. Both times he scored KO's without really connecting anything meaningful, his opponents just layed down b/c they didnt have the will to fight. That is more a reflection on them than him.

Kind of an arm puncher from what I saw, but maybe he is putting some more power in his punches now. Im sure he is improving and he is very active. But it is probably time he tested the water with some other prospects and step up the competition.

I've seen him fight, he is strong, has decent offensive skills for a heavy...but he stands too straight up, no head movement IMO

....Wladimir and some of the other guys are so tall they really don't need to move their heads.

Eddie Chambers doesn't move a whole bunch but he's hard as hell to hit.

I think Arreola beats Chambers without much problems

    taan,
I was at a bar last night with friends and I sware they had the Dodger game on, I asked my waitress who was in charge of what channel is on the telies... She pointed to the manager.

I walked up to the manager and said, hello I was told your in charge of the channel on the telie. I said being as the Dodgers are just playing for kicks now, would you mind chaging the channel? Theres gonna be some boxing on in a few minutes?
Hes like what channel is it gonna be on? I told him the channel and he said OK let me see if it's on.
He walked to the back and changed the channel to boxing...
I grabbed a stool and sat right in front of the TV, I sat there throughout the whole card when the event ended it was 2 hrs. later

About Arreola, I mean I think he needs to pick it up on the jab. He didn't throw it enough and when he did it worked wonders for him.
He also needs to work on his outside fighting, I would like to see him throw more combos and put punches together.
