Well I'd pick Chuck over the Shogun we saw last night. The thing is if Mauricio were to lose he wouldn't be a player in the div for a long time. If Chuck is going to seriously still fight meaning not just 1-2 more fights then retire then I'd start him and Shogun out with some lower tier guys. These guys and especially Chuck need a win. Shogun needs a gimme then a fight with Sobral then start looking at top 5 opponents. Chuck needs a gimme then maybe a guy like Lambert or try for a rematch with Jardine.

I totally agree,I think it would be stupid match making to throw these 2 together at this point. Shogun needs to show he can be prepared and to get some time in the cage back and Liddell needs some more confidence too.He needs to get back to his ways pre Rampage. Stop loading up the right hand etc.
If they were to fight,a win over the other would not mean much at this time. If Chuck won,so what,Griffin beat Shogun too and if sHOGUN wins,Chuck is on the slide, lost too many and not looked himself.
Who would have thought 6 months ago that Chuck Liddell and Mirko Cro Cop would be considered washed up and also rans by the end of 2007.
Fighters get humbled in MMA even quicker than in boxing it seems
