I seriously doubt that Joe's gonna lose this fight...but if he did...he couldn't have lost to a more deserving chap than Kess.

If Joe was to be replaced i would be happy in the fact that it was by a what would be, true champion like kessler... I have alot of respect for him and his talent. I believe joe should win, but very seldom does a fighter who fights te best finish his career with all W in his colum, and at Joe age, the lack of sparring over the years, of course the hands, favtor in kesslers talent, and hunger this could be the night where the young lion claims the rock?

Kessler has shown a willingness to fight the best, also to travel, i'm not buying into the whole road warrior type thing just yet because he has gone where the money is, if the money was at home he would of fought mroe there, but he will travel and fair play to him. He ha fought some of the best around, none really world class, but you can't ask more of a fighter to just fight the best whomever they are or however good they are, im sure if he wins this will be the first of many fights.

true, but i mean if he lost in a way that showed kesler was just to good and a rematach would not be any different hewould have no reason to carry on IMO...

We spend alot of time on this forum talking about fighters who need to hang their gloves up, very rare is there a fighter who comes back from a loss at 36 to go on and do great things, sure hopkins beat tarver. Joe has struggled ot be able to get the big american fights in his prime, the only way i can see him getting them after a loss is if they think it would be an easy win for their boy to boost his name. Apart from kessler there is no one of worth for joe to beat at SMW, pavil prolly wouldn't fight him if he had just lost, i don't know about hopkins, he might see it as a possible win and pay day, dawson or anybody else...

If it was close, rematch and that would happen, if it was one sided, with all the problems hes had, just call it a day, no shame i knowing when your time is up.
