I watched that fight 18 times, seriously,{ }; and mistakes were made by both. Pavlik just wanted it more, and showed it in the 3rd round when he came back and didn't in any way change his gameplan. Jermaine didn't lose the fight in the second round, he lost it in the 3rd when Kelly came right back to him with no fear or doubts about himself. For Kelly to have "pretty good power" must be JT's way of saying he got knfo by a hard puncher. He was embarassed, who can blame him, it had to be hard to lose to a guy they were making fun of. He'll either come back better and fight smarter{and possibly still lose} or just get knfo even quicker.

I don't see how anyone can question Smoger stopping the fight. After the final left hook, Taylor slumped lifeless to the ground and it would've been damn near criminal to allow the fight to continue. Like Smoger said, Taylor wouldn't have got up if he counted to 50.

Thats why we need the freaking standing eight count mandatory...been saying this forever...same shit keeps happening. It was a legit stoppage tho, Smoger will let you fight if you have the will to continue.

Not me babe. I agree that standing 8 sounds great...but Taylor...he needed help standin & that was the refs call...as you stated.
