I would really love to see ODLH hit Floyd with a good left hook...good night PBF!!!! Enjoy the 10 count

If this fight takes place, and I hope it does, it will be close but I see Oscar beating Floyd. I believe it's unfair to compare an older Chavez with Oscar because Chavez was just trying to land one good right hand to ODLH and was not using any good boxing skills. Have you seen Oscar's BOXING skills at this point in his career? And don't forget that he hits harder than Floyd...Ask Vargas, he will tell you.

You are absolutely right. But ever since Sr. started teaching Oscar, it seems like he's trying to do the Mayweather Shoulder roll, which has taken away from Oscars great jab ?

It hasn't taken away Oscar's jab, it just gave him a dimention that he needed to beat Vargas, but not a dimention he needs for any other fight of his life.

People here don't seem to be worried that Oscar may have lost it by now. No disrespet to ODH--the man is a legend and a HOF'er for sure. But here's what Oscar's BOXING skills equate to at "this point" in his career: He's fought like 2 fights in the last 3 years. One was a very controversial "win" over Sturm, and the other one was getting KO'd by B-Hop. So he hasn't clearly won a fight in a while, and he's old, relatively speaking. And frankly, he NEVER had the boxing skills that PBF has now.

I still pick ODH over Mayorga, but Mayorga is a total hack (Manny Steward's response to "why are you leaving?" upon walking out of a Mayorga training camp after 2 days: "He can't fight"). I think PBF would run circles around Oscar if they met up now (which I guess it sounds like they won't (because Oscar knows what's best for himself)).

I was responding to your point about how great Oscar's boxing skills are at this point in his career by pointing out that he hasn't won a fight in three years. While you can say that was "expected" (which I don't think it really was against Sturm), that doesn't support an argument that Oscar's been in top form recently--on the contrary, if he had been so great recently, these losses wouldn't have been so obviously expected in the first place (ok, maybe Hopkins, but not Sturm--and yes, that was a loss).

I'm not trying to disrespect Oscar--he's been a great fighter. I'm just very surprised that people seem so blind to the fact that he's clearly past his prime. I do hope he beats the hell out of Mayorga though, which I EXPECT he will.

i agree with shza we haven't seen oscar fight in so long, how can we be certain that he still has it?
he definitely had it, but when you have it you will eventually lose it. a two year lay off when you're an in the closet gay mexican former boxing superstar that has a fake marriage, a failed music career, numerous deoderant adds, a promotional company, took a dive in your last fight and got a gift in the previous, not to mention that you're a multi millionaire-- well what do you have to prove? how do you get up for a fight like mayorga? he may have a better chance of getting it up for floyd though, after all he is PRETTY BOY floyd; and mayorga is an ugly sack of crap. i expect oscar to deal with mayorga with ease and then lose to floyd in the same way he lost with his other promotional partner (B-HOP) by taking a dive and taking the money. then i wouldn't be suprised if barerra moves up to 147 for an easy win against DLH before DLH finally announces his retirement after "fighting" all these world class fighters.
