Well thats whats next on their agenda, like or not, because thats what people will want to see
If Calzaghe wins there is about 1% chance he fights Bute.

There would be more money in fighting Miranda and Froch, but Calzaghe has stated if he wins the only fight he wants at 168 is Pavlik. There is no money with Bute he hasnt been on HBO he is not a name outside of Canada, so if Joe cant get Pavlik which looks unlikley.

Im pretty certain its Hopkins, now that failing id put money on Joe fighting the winner of Trinadad and Jones or even Winky before Bute.
He does that,me and alot of other people would say its another dodge. And if he actually beats Kessler,it would be a shame if he gave up all the good will he got in beating Kessler.
As far as B-hop,its time for him to ride in to sunset, and do it on top, rather then getting embaressed by a fighter he would have wiped the mat clean with ten years ago, like just happened to Holyfield
    Hahahaha

So if he fights Pavlik Wright or Hopkins he is dodging Bute? WTF!!! You cant please anyone if he fought Bute people would be dissing him to the high hills and back for not fighting the guys i just mentioned, and by the way Bute is a paper champion he only has the title because Calzaghe gave it up.
Ha ha,three blown up Middleweights over a Super Middle with the title
And not just with the title, got it in very convincing fashion.
If Berrio still had it,youd have a compelling argument
    But,in point of fact,he doesnt,Bute does
People love, and I do mean love,a unification bout
Wright has to figure out his future,Hopkins should acknowledge that its time, and Pavlik should stay down there
The names might be more interesting, but the fights would probably suck

I'm with skel on this one. If Cal beats Kessler, he should look only at the most established available names, he only has a couple fight left so they should be against the likes of Pavlik or Hopkins. If he beats Kess, he will have already held all four belts, if he were to fight Bute, he'd prob have to relinquish one of the others again, which would be picked up by some other up and comer (e.g. Froch or Brahmer), and there would be some (few) guys out there clamouring for him to fight them, it would just be an ongoing cycle. Only the really big fights from now on.

im sorry mate but you have totally missed the point.

Who pays Joe Calzaghes wages?? Frank Warren where does this money come from?? HBO are a main contributer.

So do you really think HBO will be more intrested in Calzaghe v Pavlik Calzaghe v Hopkins Calzaghe v Wright or Calzaghe v Bute.
Put it this way the Calzaghe v Bute fight would be taken off that list within a matter of milli seconds.

We want to see the two best guys fight each other, and Bute has done fuck all other than fight for a belt that should be Joe Calzaghes.

I was pretty high on Bute earlier in his career but I wasn't that impressed with him versus Berrio.

Don't see him as being ready for Cal or Kessler yet, should be fighting guys like Inkin, even Froch.

Bute is a good fighter, but he is still a class below Joe and Mikkel IMHO.

I still say his punching power is very overrated also.
