Also Mosley FORCED Cotto out of his pressure style by obviously hurting him and making Cotto fight going backwards for the last 4 rounds of the fight. A FULL THIRD of the fight. So in the end Mosley forced his will upon Cotto and racked up more power punches. Sounds like the winner of a fight to me.
did you even watch the fight or are you going off what other people are saying

look at their faces how could you possibly say that mosley hits harder, i dont think hardly anyone that watched the fight would say mosley landed the harder cleaner shots, except for biased fans like you... let me guess you were going for mosley

cotto did his most damage when mosley was coming forward...

every since taylor-hopkins people always want to discredit a win and act like they really score fights better than professional boxing scores... and it just gets on my nerves, IF YOU FIGHTERS LOSE THEY LOSE, STOP MAKING UP ALL THE SCENERIOS WHERE IT TURNS OUT YOUr FIGHerT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO WIN...

IT IS ONE THING TO BE A FAN WITH AN OPINION, BUT TO ME IT IS DISREPCTFUL (AND CLASSLESS) TO ALWAYS BLAME THE SCORING WHEN YOUR GUY LOSES.... IT GETS OLD... YOU LOST GET OVER IT

I think I'm being pretty damn objective when I say that I feel Cotto lost the last round. However, IMO, he still won the fight.
    Clearly so..... not controversially.

    Cotto won...end of discussion.

Maybe if Shane didn't gas out inside 3 round sthings might have been different.

Everytime i watch Cotto i go away thinking 'so what' and i don't know why.

but he keeps winning and the look on concentration on his face has he robotically hunts you down is a joy to behold so good on him! His expression never changes and thats the sign on one mean MOFO

i had the last round even
it doesn't make a difference though because Cotto clearly won the fight.
also I'm not to convinced that Cotto was hurt in those later rounds (at least from a Mosley attack)
I've seen in plenty of fights where Miguel takes a round off and just boxes and moves around letting his opponent be the aggressor while he counters.
that's what it looked like to me except that he did it for 2-3 rounds.
Mosley is a strong fighter and he landed a couple of good body punches on Cotto so i don't blame Cotto for being a little tired for the end of the fight.
regardless he was still countering effectively while being backed up those final rounds

I'm with you on this. I never saw any evidence of him being hurt. I was watching the fight and suddenly all the commentators were saying he was hurt.

I thought Cotto was trying to get Mosley to come in close again. Still, Cotto was wheeling away for some reason... was it the cut lip? Who knows. He snapped out of it and that is all that matters to me.

That's a great post!! Mosley was indeed the aggressor, but Cotto was landing as opposed to simply running. Even Steward was saying this repeatedly!! The last round was close as were rounds 9-12. Ten was definitely Shane's and the 11th was definitely Cotto's. Mosley's aggression was not effective. Cotto's was during the fight, that's why he won!!
