Sh!! though.....It worked for The "Rock"?And Yeh..No comparrison Between Fist to cuffs Of any type and "Wrassslin" Lol.
Ever heard of Joe SavageWas trumped up over here as "A brutal Bare fisted Brawler" in the Mid 90's.Big bald Hairy Dude. Reports Said He Had A Compiled record of Unsanctioned Bare knuckle fights at 48-0 with all 48 by KO Over in Europe.
One of the funniest Things Ive seen In a ring on tape.I think it was his PRO debut in professional Boxing against Up and Down Bert Cooper.
Bert really messed him up In less than a round,He was rolling Around like someone in one of those Big round sumo outfits? Reality came early and obvious. Whoops off topic...No Kimbo gets KTFO at a Point In Boxing.IMO.

LOL I seen that fight...It was Savages only fight lol....What some people don't realize is that these guys fighting underground street fights are going against guys who are not exactly the best cardio wise...also people tend to forget that these fights last about 2-3 min at most,,,,
Poor Savage. Its really not a question Imo.How many of these "experiments" have we seen. Its really pretty revealing when you Look into cross-overs .

Look at that guy Gannon that beat Kimbo on the you tube bout...He gained all kinds of attention for it and the first REAL MMA fight he had the guy was destroyed and never hear from again....

The thing is these guys do not realize is that even a guy like Jeremy Bates who gets the snot beat out of him by every decent HW in the world would kick their a** in a pro ring...I mean these guys train for this countless hours...I get all kinds of tough guys at my gym who come in and think they are just going to step in and kick everyones a**...the first time they spar half way through round one 90% of the time you see them with a time out signal or bending over at the knees exausted...It never gets old watching these idiots.....usually I put them in with my national champ Marcus this way I know they will be humbled but Marcus won't take liberties on them...
Brilliantly put Daxx, and true, this humbling I've witnessed myself too many times to remember reality is that 99pc of the time a well groomed pro will dish out a slapping to the undergrounds,

Lets ask how many of these fighters have gone on to be a success in the pro ranks, and thats not because they choose not to be pro's, it's because in reality they face far far too many variables and areas that need discipline, and to be able to cope with or commit to that level takes frighteningly hard work, as well as sacrifice and dedication, and thats just to be in with a shout,

Hence most of the undergrounds tend to scrap it out in the shadows where they incur a financially b-movie status..

    As Daxx kind of said
If Jeremy actually trained for a fight, rather then having a record just good enough to collect a good pay day for getting his butt whupped,he'd pick his bones clean.
From what Ive seen of Kimbo, his footwork is terrible, and he desperatly wants to come over to an elbow strike, leaving him very vunerable. All his hooks seem to break to early

Perhaps he could have been a good boxer had he started earlier on a proper training schedule with good technique instruction. But as others have said at present there is too much for him to learn to make a go of it in the HW division. Plenty of guys fight well at his age but have been doing so for 10-15 years and from all accounts Kimbo has only recently started serious training with Bas Rutten. He might get the odd lucky early KO against some but i'd say unless he finds a time machine MMA is where he needs to stay.

I don't think Bass Rutten would have trained him if he didn't see talent.

Anyway people will see Kimbo that way no matter what he does.

Rey mercer was supposed to knock him out he won and rey is past it(which is true but he submitted him)

And he wins hsi first mma fight and people say the guy wasn't there to win.

Brock Lesnar however ahs an MMa fight and people think he's legit in the heavyweight division off of that performance when his stand up more or less sucks and he gets a sign with UFC and people think he can be a force.

Brock has an NCAA background and AAA wrestling background too to go with it so it gives hiim more legitimacy.

But Kimbo's background is basically stand up and striking, I don't think anyone questions that.

And I think Bas is working on that cardio conditioning.

You take a fact and make it look like it can't get fixed. bas is probably working on those weaknesses that Kimbo has in terms of gassing and making him better at what he does.

its not like we're dealing with a jack mosley here
