I like Soto in a very competitive fight.

If Pacquiao does move up to 135, then Marquez should fight the Soto-Guzman winner.

Whaddaya expect babe...it's one of the lighter weight bouts...for some reason...boxing fans seem to let the lower classes slide & theyr'e hands down some of the best bouts period.

Iv been waiting to see Guzman back in the ring for a while now...
As Wacko said in the RbR intro Guzman is "quite heavy handed," not a devastating puncher for me but in possession of enough strength to keep Soto at a distance anduse his speed to move in and out (although no doubt Guzman will try KO him at some point.)

So for this fight i like Guzman by UD in an entertasining competitive fight.

I've gone for Guzman by decision, although it'll be close either way. It could be a split decision either way. I'm really torn because I can see this being a 50-50 fight. While I think Guzman is the better boxer, I have my concerns that Guzman's struggle to make the weight will see him drained and Soto is clearly not a fighter you can afford to show weakness against. Credit to Guzman for taking an avoided fighter. He's skillful enough to pull it off, but I wouldn't be suprised if the decision went either way.

People really underate Soto too, he's a serious banger and he ain't the ugliest style wise either, he doesn't get hit all that much, for 130lbs he's a tank, lots of pressure but not to the point of one dimensionality. The comparisons with Margarito are semi justified, I think he has a lot more to his game, but he ain't quite the bulldozer Margarito is either. I'm talking p4p here.

Guzman has Floyd Sr in his corner now doesn't he?

Funny I haven't seen any recent interviews with him.

Either way I'm going to be nervous in this fight, very nervous.

Guzman is one of my favorite fighters but Soto is no joke and very good.

it will be a fight you can't look away from for one second or you'll miss something. And the significance too.

    Soto-Decision

Guzman will need to come out with more volume and strength than he did with Barrios.
Albeit impressive win, but he was with an older opponent in the Argentine Barrios.

Look for Soto to decision the wiley-coyote. Guzman is intelligent.

But Soto is to busy and instinctively alive for Guzman. He doesn't think as much as he throws the leather.
He can take a decent shot and he has survival skills to boot. Guzman has power, but he must confuse Soto.
    Which is perfectly possible.... YET
coming from the gym's that beats in the heart of Mexico...Soto is too young, too strong, too smart.

He'll test the Hard Boxer Puncher Guzman to the finish line.

Good analysis. I think and hope Guzman's lack of power at the weight will lead to a Soto win!

a toss-up of a fight. i think soto's a little better but if he doesn't put in a totally convincing performance i feel the decision will go to the undefeated champ guzman.

Haven't seen much of either of their fights so this is just one of my few 'ignorant' opinion, just like the most of 'em out here ... The way Bob Pac gave him some tough time ('til that one good shot), I have some doubts about Soto. As for Guzman, I think a bit overrated though, he's definitely a good runner and has pretty good skills, though with limited arsenals. So I think it's a matter of whether Soto can catch him or not, which I doubt a bit. Decision for Guzman.

My 3 cents, (keep the extra penny, Wacko! ).
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
