You thank Tarver for Hopkins and he owned him by the second round?. ...Hopkins gave Tarver the boxing lesson of his career
Daxx,You missed the period in the sentence.I thank Tarver For Ko over Jones and thats It.
He (Hopkins) owned Him (Tarver) By the second round. It was indeed a boxing lesson,Must have watched it at least 15 Times Rolling on the ground laughing,Hopkins shut him down.
I Guess its obvious I drove all of my English Teachers to Early retirement Lol!

My mistake Spicoli...It had me wondering for a sec lol...I was thinking maybe there was a rematch I missed
Cool Dude.I dont even think a shrewd Buisnessman and Fighter Like Hopkins Is Cruel enough to do that to The Tarver Family.
I really think Tarver is at THE crossroads of Career.A Beating like that lingers with a fighter.
He came back from a Busted rib Tko Loss To Eric Harding and In Rematch destoyed Harding Brutally But I do not See that Fire anymore. Not a fan really but Comeback Fight will be explosive and rededicated OR He will stumble Badley and go down hill fast.No In between IMO.
what happened to him Fighting Danny Green?

Tarver spent what momentum on the big stage after the Jones win trying to live off the name...he forgets the win can last only for so long before you have to show you belong in the spotlight again/...For some reason IMO he thought the 1-1 with Johnson was enough to follow it up?....

Green was offered a fight with Stipe Drews for the WBA title so forgot all about signing the line with Tarver

If u believe Greens story apparently Tarvers ppl were almost impossible to deal with so they went for the Drews fight instead.

You can tell when Tarver is ducking , he will just price himself out of the fight...the guy thinks he is the biggest draw in boxing or something. He needs to have some good performances to warrant the money he asks for....

I have a sever disliking of Tarver. His mouth is way too fricking big and someone needs to shut it.Not by outboxing him like Bernard didbut someone needs to beat up on him. Over at Boxing scene, there is an article about him dissing B Hop and saying he would never get a rematch because B Hop is scared. He also says that he is going to represent the IBO and their title(I'm not sure if he's being serious but still) hence introducing yet ANOTHER "World Titl". What an asshole.

Take away his win over RJJ and he's just another guy in the division. RJJ made him.Fucking RJ

Hopkins IMO could have KO'd Tarver that night but was having too much fun in there....He made Tarver look like an amateur in the ring...IMO it may have been more embaressing then being KO's haveing someone so easily outbox you...I mean c'mon your supposed to be the best there is at 175?...and you have a blown up MW in his 40's beating you at will......You can recover from a KO but it takes a lot longer for pride to heal

I'll always give him credit for beating roy though...probably the most i've been shocked watching a fight..
I agree and I feel James Toney also has the same disregard for reality. I actually read an interview with Toney were he said he beat Peter twice, but the judges just didn't see it. In the 2nd fight, he got his ass handed to him.

...James' comments can be attributed to a low blood sugar level...he gets grouchy when he's not eating

Antonio Tarver is just a whiney little baby....he beat an old weight drained Roy Jones Jr.....AFTER LOSING TO HIM THE FIRST TIME!!!

Imagine if all fighters were as bitchy as Tarver....who basically told Roy "I am going to fight you until I beat you and if you dont' fight me I'll never leave you alone"

I would absolutely jump for joy if someone KO'd Tarver and when I say KO I mean Tarver is lights out, bring in the smelling salts, and so on.

One good punch doesn't make for a "legend killer".

Tarver even sucks on the Fight Night games.
