No offense Hulk, but if JT is a world champion but can't keep his hands up without Manny telling him, he needs to go do something else. That's like blaming Manny when Taylor trips over his shoe laces because Manny forgot to tell him to tie them. Maybe Pavlik just beat that a$$ and would have no matter what JT did. He sure couldn't get Pavlik out of there after the knockdown, and had 2 minutes left to do it. Either he fixes himself or nobody will, most likely. I do think JT needs to go back to his roots, if for nothing else than a calming effect in the corner in a big fight.

Fair enough. But if you see that someone's shoe is untied wouldn't you tell them? Steward saw that Taylor was keepin his hands down and doing nada to stop that right hand from Pavlik, and offered no defensive advice. He just told Taylor what to do offensively and sent him back out there round after round.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

I hear you Hulk, and yeah Manny should have said something{for whatever good that would have done}.......And no, I wouldn't tell somebody if their laces were untied: no one ever tells me

Pat Burns or no Pat Burns Taylor still has some issues he needs to deal with that no trainer can help him with.

i think you have that the other way around.
GOOD for steward. He doesn't need some jerkoff kid that doesnt want to listen. Manny over the years has displayed nothing but professionalism, but the only time i seen him get completely frustrated in the ring was with taylor. Taylor just would not listen to steward, and i believe its a sigh of relief for steward. How frustrating would it be if you had a kid with all the talent in the world, but just couldn't apply it for a full 12 rounds. It would drive any perfect trainer crazy.
My friend, clearly you have never seen Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson.
My friend, IMO i believe that was more motivational then frustration
