Too bad he wasnt near his prime when he fought norton, the same can be said for any heavy weight, lennox how do you get koed by rahman and olive rmcall, how does tyosn lose to buster douglas kevin mcbride etc, it depends when you catch a fighter

I know. I'm not an Ali hater. He was the best I've ever seen.

The keys to beating Ali were: catch him coming in, attack the body, fight within yourself. I mean how do you lose to Ken Norton, HA
"Fight within yourself" What does this mean?

Ali was way too quick, slick, had hand and food speed, agility, and everything else. Even Roy Jones Jr. could not move out of the way of all of those punches like that and he was a lighterweight. Joe Lewis, Rocky, Foreman, Frazier and some of those guys were great fighters. However, no Joe Lewis or Rocky Marciano are getting out of the way of those punches!

Fight within yourself meaning don't try to kill Ali...he wanted guys to swing for the fences to tire themselves out, the only one who was good at that was Frazier and his defense held him back.

You have to know what you can and can't do, stamina is an issue! Ali would go 15 rounds, he had a good chin and was hard to hit. So pace yourself and be realistic about how you could beat Ali.

You couldnt build a better fighter even in your mind than a prime Ali....If you could take the awsome speed and movement of a young Ali and mix it with the jaw of the Ali who fought after exile....Hell either version was just as he claimed GREAT!!
