You guys are ridiculous.....did Joe Louis ever look scared? Joe Louis had enough size, speed, and power to make Mike glad they never fought.

Name me one guy who had an easy time with Joe Louis!

It's funny how a dislike for a certain fighter blinds people to actual facts. Bottom line is Louis didn't have the chin to take Tyson's punches. Only a fool would say otherwise

Tyson didn't have the heart to deal with Louis

Joe Louis didn't have a chin? He took Rocky Marciano's shots for 8 rounds, and Rocky was one of the hardest punchers in the history of the sport. And Joe Louis was pretty freaking old at that time....where as in Mike Tyson's post prime he was whipped by Danny Williams and kevin McBride.....guys Joe Louis would still beat, and he's dead!

Mike Tyson is horribly overrated by the people on this forum

He was also wobbled by a light-hitting Light Heavyweight in Billy Conn.

Lyle i do not want to sound like a bias to Tunney but this how i see the matches going. If he fought the Rock he would use his speed of foot to run and jab for 15 rounds and win a close Ud now the rock could catch him but i think Tunney could use his reach and legs to score points and stay out of harms way. Then there is Louis who had his weaknesses Look at the Max fight and then there Billy until he got in his head to fight Louis toe to toe. If Tunney can keep his distance and jab and and right hand and keep mobile for 15 rounds which he could do i see a Ud as well but not saying he could not lose but i Favor Tunney hope i did not sound to bias when explaining my reasoning but i think it makes sense but if you find it wrong point out what.

....and Tyson was KO'd by Evander Holyfield who wasn't a "power puncher"......Danny Williams and Kevin McBride are no huge power punchers either.

Joe Louis did KO Billy Conn though.....did Mike Tyson ever come from behind to win?

Mr140, did anyone else have success running from Marciano? The point has been made, end of story....but yes it would have been a good fight

Yea but to be fair no one Marcino fought that used those kind of skills were as good as Tunney at it and they also alot of his best opponents that could do it were 36, 38 and 41 and all past there best not saying Rocky was not great you can only beat who is front of you but i favor Tunney I wish we had time Machines lol and cc for sticking by your top heavies it is freshing to see some different opinions i sick of people thinking Ali was a god.

I said prime Tyson. The one who fought Williams and McBride was shot. Louis was in his prime when Conn made him do the drunk dance. Tyson would of murdered Louis like he did Michael Spinks

Vd i do not think Tyson would do away with Louis as fast as he did Spinks.

CC Mr140, I agree to disagree

As for you VD, I declare shennanigans! Have you ever seen Joe Louis fight, I only ask because if you think ANYONE up to and including Earnie Shavers and George Foreman could KO Joe Louis in 1 round you're insane!

    Watch and learn

And as you can see Louis' defense was underrated as well

Yes I seen Louis fight before. And I still think Tyson knocks him out. But you think otherwise. So why don't you tell me how a Tyson-Louis fight would go. In what round does Louis stop Tyson in?

Well I say it would be a war and like any other time when Tyson was tested he fails in the later rounds, I will say 6-8 since Joe Louis A: had loads of power and B: was a better fighter than anyone Tyson ever set foot in the ring with.

You have a right to your opinion but I have a right to mine as well and I can see the uppercut, left hook, and right cross of Joe Louis causing Tyson trouble.....Tyson had very fast hands when he had someone hurt but Joe bounced back after some huge shots, once Tyson was down he either stayed down or wasn't the same fighter once he got hurt.

IMO Tyson fights vs Louis or Rocky would come down to heart and Tyson would be found lacking in this area. Sure people bring up size but at heavyweight size really isn't an issue unless someone fights to it's advantage and Tyson did not.
