The WBO is a joke!!!

The IBF is the biggest joke of them all.

Take a look at the fights they try to foc guys into to.

The WBO is actually the biggest joke of them all. There the organization who actually moved a dead fighter up in there rankings (must of been his dying wish). And is the only one of the 4 belts that Ring magazine never acknowledge

the ring? hahah whislt i like their reads form time to time they can be biasd as hell too. I mean their rankings for one, the most i agree with, but some are just S***, i mean come on Casa is the No 1 the "champion" at lightweight as he has their belt? he didn't even win his last fight... ans he aint the only one so don't waste time throwing what the ring rate as your back up...

when ever someone has a crack at their belt all of a sudden they move up the rankings when the rest of the world know they would not even be there if it wasn't for that I.E manfredo for example, no way was he or ever will be a top 10 at SMw, but S*** they couldn't not have him in the recognised "official rankings" just incase he done the impossible, by that i mean someone jumping out of the crowd to fight calzaghe with him.

The WBO may not be the biggest name, it is the lowest out of the big four, but end of the S*** mandatories the IBf throw at fighters, take a look at some of them, their ibf smw changed hands 3 times this year, look who they made wlad fight, hatton fight...

The belt is only as good as the champion, and looking throught most weights the recognised and undisputed champions all seem to hold other abc belts, more than one whilst they have vacated the IBF at some point or the guy before them done it.

S*** most ibe champions fight in germany these days...

Hatton ditched his belt for a more meaningfull fight, Calzaghe ditched it, hopkins did or did taylor throw it after he beat him?

I mean S*** while i like kermit, he had an early TKO loss to toni and was made the no 1 for the IBF 2 fights later - JOKE BELT

With the money me or you could get a shot at that belt if we wanted.

Casamayor won the Ring title from Corrales...Until he is beaten the title remains his....To lose the ring title you have to either lose it in the ring, Vacate the division or die

I was going thru some rankings myself and found some pretty damn intersting things to say the least.

- I just realized that the WBA has Haye, Arslan & Hill as Cruiserweight Champs. WTF? Super, World & Interim anything else they'd like to add? I don't know may be a WBA champ for each country

- By the time Peter & Oleg meet it would have tooken Peter 2 years to solve this whole Interim deal with Oleg.

- Alexander Dimitrenko has been the WBO Inter-Cont. champ since 2005 why didn't he ever fight for the WBO World title as that title is a step below to the world title?

- How does Tito Mendoza who's ranked #13 by the WBO get a shot at Erdei? When theirs fighters like Briggs, Garay or Diaconu available to fight
and are ranked higher then Mendoza?

Easy there CMM, I am the current undisputed "WBA Mesa, AZ 2nd st house on the southwest corner Emeritus champ" and that title means a lot to me please don't down play it.

How many defenses & #1 contenders have you fought in your reign as champ?

I challenged my cousin when he came over but he couldn't make weight since then I got injured in sparring and hence the Emeritus title until I feel better

To be fair Hill and Arslan are fighting for the (regular) WBA title now. And as much as the names are a joke, I dont mind that there are special rules for fighters who unifies. If everybody were enforcing their policy on mandatories like the IBF, unification would be even less possible than today.

Also, if you forget the names, then it is not too bad: Haye is WBA#1, Hill is WBA #2 (forgetting for a minute that Hill actually lost his last fight) and Arslan is WBA#3. They won those rankings in the ring, thereby making the top end of the rankings rather transparent. At least compared to the WBO rankings where people are just drawn out of a hat.

As for the WBO Intercontinental title, it is a joke (just like the other Intercontinental titles).

As for Erdei-Mendoza, well if fighters are in the top15, they are eligible for a volunatry defence. Nothing suspicious about that one.

CC Back mate....I always thought title changes should work like this...

1. The obvious where a fighter loses his belt in the ring

2.If a fighter does not defend his belt with in a 6m time frame they should be stripped of the belt...(unless there is a valid medical excuse)

3. A fighter must defend his title against the highest ranked contender who has not had a title shot or has a fight schedualed....

EG-#1 guy has a fight schedualed for February...the #2 guy is next but lets say he had a shot at the title 2 fights ago and lost...then it would be the #3 guys turn...if the third ranked fighter can not fight he is skipped to #4 and so on

No exceptions...but that would be in a perfect world i guess

Come on Rob WBO is a total joke always has been , IBF isnt perfect but has better all round recognition , WBO is not even taken seriously by lots of hard core fans. as VD says they have rated dead fighters before now
i think Calzaghe defended his title againest a few dead ones also

yeah ive always liked how they do theres, but their title is so far behind the wbo's. another worthless title. tho lennox lewis held their title for ages. they were probably paying him to do so.
