I can't believe he said that.

It would be the funniest thing that I've heard in along time.

I'm 'shocked' that anybody thinks Danny Williams opinion counts for anything. It doesn't. He sucks. The entire heavyweight division is a disgrace. Fat, out of shape jarheads with minimal boxing ability. That goes for the Euro robots to. (by the way, Valuev isn't a champ. He was defeated by Larry Donald and John Ruiz. They're from America and they also suck.)

Rahman is mediocre at best. And Wlad better relish his time in boxing, because he's gonna get hammered home by some other mediocre heavyweight with a solid punch.

    What Danny said was true.

All those who point out that Vitali beat him, remember this; Vitali isn't an American fighter

Lamon Brewster (who was rather #1 HW a while ago) STRUGGLED against Kali Meehan 18 months ago. The SAME Kali Meehan that Danny Williams knocked out in 32 seconds

Williams may not be the most talented guy out there but he has a massive puncher, desire, willpower and heart and that will easily get him a belt. I can see him beating the highly immobile Valuev, perhaps Rahman (that will never happen though) and he has a good shot at Sergie Lykovich too (sp?).
Yes, Danny isn't the most talented guy out there but there is no denying that he has what it takes to beat any one of the three belt holders out there. Only Wladamir would give him problems, but imagine....one Williams bomb against Wladamir's chin and it's = Good night sweetheart.

He beats Mike Tyson, gets up numerous times against the DOMINANT HW champion in Vitali Klitscko, he BEATS a GOLD medallist in Audley Harrison and beats a man with a long knockout streak in unbeaten Matt Skelton, and he's garbage? You fucking moron!

He's better than average, he keeps getting the results so that places him pretty high on my list. Looking at the Top 20, Danny could easily beat most of them. Only Toney and Wladamir I would pick against Danny.
He used to be pretty good though, he could put together combo's like a little featherweight a few years ago, had good speed, movement, jab and sledgehammer power in both hands.

I'm not gonna bother mixing words about Williams. He's garbage. The only way that he even looks halfway decent is when compared to other turds in the division.

He beat Harrison, who obviously sucks. He beat Skelton, who as far as I can tell has beat nobody. But who has he lost to: Julius Francis, Michael Sprott, Sinan Samil Sam... (Michael Sprott?)

I could care less if American's dominate the heavies (An I'm from America). At this point, arguing about who is dominating the heavies is like asking which turd smells better. So if Williams does have a valid claim to being a true heavyweight contender, then the state of the heavies is worse off than I thought.

American football-Of course we're the best at it, noone else even plays it.
Basketball-far and away the best, we don't even send our best to the Olympics anymore, but when we did the games were all 126-78 blowouts.
Baseball-we're probably the best at this, I don't know, I f#cking hate baseball.
...also if you check the Olympics there's a bunch of other crap we're apparently great at like snowboarding.
Anyway, my point is it's only natural that as interest wanes due to PPV, corruption,
etc. so shall our hold on boxing superiority. It's no coincidence that when boxing used to air on network TV in the States the HW belt was considered an American birthright.

...and Danny Williams IS a joke.
Um at Basketball you guys have by far the most individually skilled players, but it seems without the NBA's relaxed rules they have big trouble playing against the technically sound teams in europe... And any team of allstars going from the States should win in the Olympics no questions asked... Them losing is an embarrassement for all North Americans... no offense I love the NBA and cheer for United States over Canada, and I felt embarrassed when US lost.

    You're obviously a retard.

There were glimpses of class. He nicely redeemed himself against Francis after losing his commonwealth title, at a time when Francis was pretty good and not the punching back of today.

Against the 3rd Sprott outing, he thought 'I cant be bothered with this', he'd already beaten him TWICE convincingly, why bother with a 3rd match, so he toyed around with Sprott and IMO did win the fight, but the referee didnt like the stupid showboating and deducted points off him which reflected in the end result. Danny's own fault but had everything been on equal terms (ie no points deductions) Williams would have retained his title.

As for the Sam fight, he had the shingles. IF they fought now, Williams would win. Sam has regressed so badly, it's untrue.

Williams has class. Audley had class (a fucking gold medal, hello!), and Skelton was a big thread. He won against both men, both tipped to become champions. You're obviously bitter that Danny boy whupped your boy Mike Tyson and broke his heart. Tough shit. Danny's still active, Mikey boy quit to screw around and travel all around the world.

    you're wound a little tight aren't you

Maybe I was a bit harsh cause of his arrogance, maybe Ralieghts right when he says that he's average, if he's average though, he's average at best

He beat Mike Tyson? The same one that lost to McBride? Lets don't act like that's a huge accomplishment.

He took a horrific beating versus Vitali. Credit to him for getting up, he does have heart, but that doesn't make him a good fighter

You should have left out the part about Audley Come the fuck on now, you can't be serious, Audley (gold medal or not) is a waste of space who's scared of his own shadow. And Williams fought HORRIBLY against him, lazy, slow, he barely even beat Audley. Look at Audley's last fight, nobody over here confuses Dominic Guinn with a good fighter but he just about shut Audley out, Audley won maybe two rounds. He handled him with ease, especially compared to Williams' performance.

Williams is average at best, his only chance at a belt is against Valuev and that's not a sure thing. I can't see him beating any of the elite heavies, I'd probably pick guys like Guinn, Monte Barret, and definitely Krasniqi over him

Don't call me a retard you idiot. I'm talking about a boxer, not you personally. Francis was never good, and the commonwealth title means nothing. Tyson has been washed up since the early 90's. Kevin McBride also beat Tyson, is he the next Ali.

Just because Audley won a gold medal doesn't make him a good professional fighter, because he's not. yeah, Danny's still active, and the heavyweight division has never looked so good because of his grade A talent. Its almost silly that I'm arguing with a Danny Williams fan.
