Guess it didn't work out that way We'll see what he says when Pavlik moves up and beats him like a drum at 168. Thanks for the Sad Click, here's one from me
It was a nice interview and you make some joke out of it.
They will fight again someday and there is no way Pavlik will do the same against a healthy Miranda. Could he win, of course. But it would be a whole different fight.
To me Pavlik has proven a lot, but he still has a lot of question marks. I could see him getting completly embarrassed against a guy like Calzaghe.
It will be an interesting 2008. Pavlik could be make himself a household name if he has another great year.
O.k. Pantera, fair enough. I do tend to joke about things too much, bad habit. It was a good interview, and I wasn't necessarily making fun of the interview, just the interviewer who semed to want to take credit from Pavlik, just like people want to take away from him for his win over Taylor. Sure there's question marks about Pavlik, who doesn't have them? But to be fair I'd say there are just as many for Miranda{and Taylor} as there are for Pavlik. Sorry bro', this is where we'll disagree, but Pavlik will beat Miranda 10 out of 10 times, and if he doesn't, you won't see me disappear after the fight. I'll give Pantera{you and Miranda} props. If Miranda had weight issues then he walked into a landmine taking that Pavlik fight, and credit to him in the interview he at least gave credit to Kelly. More people this year are more interested in talking about why these 2 guys lost to Pavlik than they are giving Pavlik credit for doing to 2 guys what no one else had done. Somebody better have an answer to the marks about Pavlik or they'll get the same. Yes I'm a big Pavlik fan, and a big Miranda fan, but I don't ride nuts. Peace dude

You say a lot of truth there and I respect you for it. I am close to the Miranda camp, so maybe I am blind and maybe I do ride his nuts. But I was there in Memphis and personally saw what Edison went through to make this fight happen. It is a shame it went down the way it did. I would of rather him been himself and gotten his ass beaten. And that is the exact reason I hope there is a rematch soon. I want to be satisfied one way or the other who is the better fighter. Miranda stock plummeted from the Pavlik KO. To me, it was just a setback and he will be back on top. But to most people he has a lot to prove and many doubters. He is more hungry than ever, and IMO will make a lot of noise at SWM.
Here's one back at ya nice to see someone defend thier fighter with an open mind, i can see those who doubt him and don't want to see a rematch not sure i would either if i didn't kinda belive his reasons for his lackluster performance, i do belive a lot of it had to do with pavlik just being better that night but i wouldn't mind seeing a more focused, prepared, no excuse miranda in there with him again.

I totally disagree Miranda was dominated there should be no rematch at all and he won't do anything at SMW either.
Why? He has one 'true' loss on his record against the current undisputed MW champ?
He made huge noise at MW. I see no reason why he won't get to the top and fight for a title at SMW.
Name a champion he can beat at SMW.

Once Calzaghe moves up there is only Bute, a very winnable fight.
Other than that there is Kessler, the best thing in SMW. Now that would be a hard fight and would not make any predictions until I see more of Edison at SMW.

What do you want us to do; start calling each other names? I didn't appreciate being called a hater and he didn't like me poking fun of the interview. We squashed it instead of turning it into something redundant and stupid, like watching a Manfredo Jr. fight Just kidding Boston

No it isn't, Supermiddleweight division has even more talented fighters than Middleweight division what champion can he beat at Supermiddleweight ??
Well Pernell to be fair theirs only 1 Champion at 168 and that's Joe, he is the Undisputed champ now if what your refferring to as"Champion" is the trinket Bute picked up from Berrio then that's different. On the other hand I think theres a couple of contenders he can beat at 168.
Heres how I see it possibly playing out.....

I think theres a few names there that he can challenge and possibly win himself a shot at a title.
(Being that Joe 'might' vacate his titles so theres gonna be 3 titles looking for #1 & #2's to fight for them) if he can continue to rack up some wins something tells me he'll be there in title contention.

Miranda has so much potential IMO, just look at those long ass arms and he cant jab. That is a shame, he really needs to worry about boxing and defense and not always play to the crowd going for the k.o. He will always take the bait when the crowd starts goin. He proved he has the heart, and a decent chin. (If Taylor ate that many he would have been out alot earlier.) I personally like the guy more after the Pavlik fight because he didnt just go away, but please get that guy a good trainer....
