I think both Mayweather & Cotto defeat Williams. I think Margarito would also win a rematch. Mosley would be my favorite going in also. Williams has talent but he ain't unbeatable IMO!

I never see people mention about how good Williams is at angles.

Listen Bilbo who has done more at welterweight Cotto or PBF look at who they have fought and how they have won the answer is Cotto.
Sorry Mr140 but Floyd is the linear champ at 147 so thats as high as you can go IMO, I agree Cotto is an outstanding talent but Judah was considered his toughest opponent going into that fight, but when Floyd fought Judah he was criticized for fighting a guy who lost to Baldomir. Then he fights Baldomir the linear champ going in & still gets flack. Floyd has reached the top something Cotto is still yet to do!Originally Posted by Mr140

Floyd to me at welterweight is just another belt holder i mean to be linear dont you need more then one belt. And look at Mayweaters best wins at welter are Baldomiar and Juhda and Cotto best wins are against Mosley and Juhda and if you look at the other Cotto in my eyes just beat better people at the weight so i consider him the better guy at welter i do not care what Floyd has done at the other weights to be honest with you because they werent WW.
No to be linear champ you need to beat the champ! Belts don't mean sh*t. Mayweather could have no alphabet belts but he would still the Ring champion! IMO Floyd beats Cotto so as well as being the champion at 147 he is also the best fighter. Hopefully when Floyd's defeated Hatton he'll fight Cotto so we'll all know for sure who the best guy is!Originally Posted by Mr140

And at the rate Cotto is going he is on better track i mean he is a young man and is taking bigger steps then Floyd for god sakes he took him half the time to beat a all time great and he was younger when he did it. I think in a few Years unless PBF beats him which he might but i bet on Cotto to win he will be the Pound for Pound number one and i hope he gets it because he my kinda guy adn goes for the big fights and lays it on the line.
The fact that Paul Williams has 24 knock outs on his resume says that he is at least a little bit of a threat. He is sort of entertaining to watch. He does a lot things and switches gears constantly. I am not saying he is un-beatable, but anyone who beats him will have to put in a lot of work.
I would love to see Malignaggi move up as he claims he is because he wants to fight Cotto again (So he says) LMAO! I would love to see Paulie and Williams get it on. I know Williams can beat him easy but I would like to see just how good Malignaggi's skills are against him. It would be nice to see how PBF and Cotto handle Williams too. I can't help but sort of like Williams because of his freakish height and reach in the welter weight division. He is kind of like a circus side show but in a good way. Williams just turned 26 so there is plenty more of him left to see yet.
Man if only he had the power of Hearns he clean out the division then go be champ at a lot of weights.
Cotto has never fought a #1 rated guy! Floyd fought G. Hernandez in only his 18th fight. Hernandez was rated #1 by the ring at the time at Jr. L. Cotto's had 31 fights & never fought a #1 guy... I have to ask why?Originally Posted by Mr140

Yea but how many All time great have they Fought i have to say it pretty close i say the same number what about you buddy.
Oh please. There is not one fighter on PBF's record whom Cotto could not beat. Hernandez was beat by ODLH first. Floyd went around beating up guys who had already ben served by the likes of ODLH, Kostya Tszyu and so on. Cotto came around beating up guys whom Floyd beat and Cotto was stopping those Floyd could not. Cotto has more un-defeated fighters on his record than Floyd has. The only other undefeated fighter on Floyd's record was Corrales. Floyd's best work in my opinion has been at 130 and 135 but some might argue this and that's ok with me. This is just my opinion. I still don't hold or regard PBF as all that. Corrales was not even in the match against PBF. Corrales' distraction was too much and Corrales was not focused. Would you be able to focus knowing you are going to prison? I think not. Floyd still lost against Castillo even though he was given the match. Yes he came back and won the second fight but he lost the first and every one knows this.Originally Posted by Galaxy.
I think he's ok to watch. If he comes out to destroy,he would be fun to watch. I found him frustrating to watch v Tony, because I can't stand pitty patty punches.I don't see anyone beating him unless they KO him. Why? If judges see someone throwing 100 plus punches a round, every round, they are not going to score against him. Unless you can match that or KO him,I don't see him losing. I don't think he's the best fighter per se,it's his style that's awkward.Originally Posted by Cotto_Is_4_Real
Bilbo,I don't need a title to tell me who the best fighter is in the division. Stop being so 1 dimensional in your thinking.
Mayweather-fought Sharmba,Judah,Baldo at 147.
Cotto-fought Quintana,Urkal,jUDAH,Mosley.
Who's beaten the better fighters?Who has the most impressive resume AT 147?Use your brain dude,I don't post things with no rationale behind them. Cotto has beaten by far and away the better fighters so deserves number 1 imo.Until the RING establishes itself like one of the paprer orgs, has a proper title and is recognised by all fighters, they are just a reference point. Have you ever seen a Floyd interview asking about the RING title? What does he say? Last one I saw,on Boxing Talk, they asked him and he said,he doesn't care about any title other than the WBC title.
